The New York Rangers lose 2 consecutive games for the first time this season, this one a 6-2 loss on the road in Edmonton to the Oilers. Connor McDavid scored twice with an assist for a 3 point night, Artemi Panarin scored both of New York’s goals. The Rangers return home after the road trip to talk on St. Louis at The Garden on Monday night.

Everyone should start being honest no matter how the team plays they won’t be good enough to beat the teams that will be lurking in the ECF until they trade or get rid of some players rangers don’t commit to defense no matter how good you play offense and how much zone time you may have in future defense really does win cups not these soft “Leaders” rangers have on their team this is a wasted season just develop the young guys as much as ya can and hopefully they’ll be ready for next year
Defense wins championships. It's simple. Florida last year was a stalwart defensively.

Oilers fan here – don't know what you guys are going on about – you've only lost 6 this season, the Oilers way more, you've played 19 and if you win your games in hand you are near the top. This month you are 6-4 and next week I reckon you could easily win 3 of 4. I thought the Oilers press were bad with their team, but guys get behind the team.
You cant get to a Stanley Cup in November Valiquette. Its a journey. They also wont be same team at trade deadline.
The rags are lucky they are not a bottom 5 team. A lot of wins early on against mediocre/bottom teams. They get outplayed every night and rely on their goaltending to save them. Not a good recipe.

Rangers weren’t that bad, the oilers were overachieving on loose pucks. Not enough physical play by the Rangers and should’ve pulled Quick after the fourth goal.
