Bit harsh on Bahl…he’s second-pairing potential and still has room for growth. He’s also young.
This Pinder guy is just too much!! I will give him this much, he is consistently inconsistent with his arguments. Jeez! Is the Calgary sports scene that thin that you can't find another guy?
Rhett and Boom seem to want to hate all our players for some reason and it clouds their judgment. Pinder's right, OF COURSE cap space and team competition matter in assessing Miromanov. How can you actually argue in good faith that they don't?? It doesn't matter what Miromanov would be on another team cause he's not on another fkn team. It's also impossible to say what he would be elsewhere, sometimes players catch fire randomly with a change of scenery. Also, Bahl has been looking really good lately and yet they want to hate him for no reason too. When Brzustewicz and Parekh come up I'm sure Rhett and Boom will be hating on them in no time too.
Bahl is easily a #4 and a pleasant surprise. Miro is just a place holder until one of the younger guys is ready, I would assume.
Miro has been fine. Plays low event hockey and his pairing with Weegs has been good. Having said that Hanley/Weegar looked better. The weak link is Andersson.
This whole situation makes me wonder why they haven’t called up any D or waived any of these guys. Bean, Hanley, Miromanov, Barrie. Pick one or two, waive him bring up Solovyov and Grushnikov. What’s the hold up. We don’t need three number 7s, unclog the drain a bit.

Rhett please. You went to the injury list more than most in Calgary
You do have to take salary into account. If you said here's your 88,000,000 million but you can only hire players who are in there 2nd or 3rd contract. You would really struggle to field a competitive team. Lets say you hire all free agents and you are paying them exactly what they are worth. You hire Conner McDavid for 17-18 million and so on, soon enough like Toronto and Edmonton you run out of money and you team ends up with 10 players making 1 million each to offset McDavid, MacKinnon and Mathews. You win by underpaying players not by having great players getting paid huge money. If McDavid gets 20 million next year is he an asset to your team or a hinderance….guess what maybe not an asset. Assets have net value. It's like buying a home for 2 billion….Hey look at me I have the nicest house on the planet. Now I go to sell it and my best offer is 1 billion? So the best isn't necessarily the best.
Miromanov is not an everyday defensman. We have already seen his ceiling. Say goodbye.
