  1. Buffalo's may be the more enduring tyre fire but the Rangers have a more spectacular fire going on.

  2. You couldn't pick a bigger dichotomy in ownership, on the one hand you quiet almost invisible and on the other…Jimmy Dolan.😊

  3. Rest in peace Capfriendly 🙁 I still will try to google it on accident. I've found Capwages to be a good site as well as puckpedia, Capwages is nice because its formatted like Capfriendly was.

  4. Blues were 15-18-4 on New Years Day when they won the Cup so anything can still happen for either of these teams

  5. Hey Hockey Guy, Sabres fan here, I’m traveling to Vancouver in January and seeing the Sabres play . Am I allowed
To bring in a palm tree ? 🌴

  6. I keep forgetting that Buffalo, NY and NYC, NY are in the same state. All 3 NY NHL teams are hurting pretty bad this year

  7. As a Sabres fan, thanks for giving us a fair shake. Is it mental illness to watch this team in 2024? lol. Ralph Krueger era vibes. I don't wanna see Lindy's legacy tarnished…but I didn't want to see the team miss the playoffs again either and it looks like that's gonna happen

  8. Sabres are BY FAR the youngest and least-experienced team in the league. GM Adams, for whatever reason, didn't find any veterans to complement the youth, and brought in Lindy Ruff, who brought a young NJ team from 63 to 112 points in 1 year. We won't know about these players for another 2-3 years. GM Adams won't last that long.

  9. As much as I like to say that Toronto is the biggest joke in professional sports, even I have to admit that Buffalo is making a strong claim for that title.

Making a bum like Dahlin the captain, signing a bum like Ruff as the coach…these are moves that an absolute poverty franchise makes. It's Bekula doesn't give a shit about the Sabres, it's all about the Bills for him.

  10. Im surprised the Preds are not in there
I feel like everyone had kinda accepted that they are a also a tire fire since october but i would have included them in the conversation of biggest tire fire of the league
What a fall from grace they had

  11. Rangers I could see bouncing back next year. Sabers might want to consider human sacrifice in order to get out their situation.

  12. NY taxes, zero player management skills, unethical contract negotiations, team sucks…why does anyone want to play for the Rangers?

  13. I think for the Sabres this falls completely on the owners. When players, general managers and coaches are constantly being swapped out over 14 years or whatever it's been that's on the owner. but Kevin Adam's will take the fall and a new guy will come in and the losing will continue.

  14. The Rangers feels like last year edmonton at the start of the season. a good ol' coach firing should fix them.
buffalo is just more of the same. they should hire me and i could do better.

  15. What's going on with the Rangers right now reminds me of what happened with the Leafs and Ballard/Imlach in the early 80s.

  16. Lol answers his own question at the end. Of course the Rangers issues are more surprising and also more solvable. The Sabres have been so bad for so long I don't think anyone has the answer.

  17. Every year goes by and I see the incline of the bills and the sabres stay at the bottom just goes to show the Pegula's care more about the Bills than the Sabres

  18. I can grade a team by OVERALL cup wins and the Rags only having 4 as an original 6 team is ridiculously bad.

  19. I mean both teams are a dumpster fire right now but I think most people wouldn't be surprised if the Rangers managed to find their way out of theirs first cos…you know…Buffallo.

  20. not only did the rangers win the presidents trophy and knock out two teams, they knocked out carolina. for the 2nd time in 3 years. hockey analytics darling getting smacked by elite finishing a power play and a goalie. the five on five malaise is only being magnified because the rangers this season have not had elite finishing around the net or a feared power play

  21. Montreal with Cary Price knocked out teams and made it to the SCF and are now rebuilding. Ottawa made the conference finals and took the cup winners to Game 7 double OT. They started rebuilding the next year.

That's how I view the Rangers. Shesterkin is their superstar and he can cover a lot of warts when everyone is overperforming. Now that everyone is underperforming it's a tire fire. Same with Carey Price in Montreal and Erik Karlsson in Ottawa before they entered their rebuilds.

  22. I think the Rangers is the worse one. The Sabres at this point, they’re just the Sabres. The Rangers, however are supposed to be contenders.

  23. The Rangers situations is a bigger fire because their fan base had expectations. Only Sabres fans with major head injuries expected anything short of a shitshow.
