auston matthews is the most one dimensional star in the nhl rn. as a die hard leafs fan. i can’t stand the praise he gets. he’s a great offensive player, when he’s scoring. but when he’s not. he’s doing nothing but hurting the team. how many times does he just lazily back check when he needs to be hustling. and him being the captain is a joke. morgan should’ve got it or johnny should’ve kept it. matthews is NOT a captain.

matthews borderline slew footing Hintz followed by a referee borderline slew footing Marner was not what i expected to see tonight
First goal against was completely on McCabe, he was way closer to that puck than Matthews and HE stopped moving. That’s why Matthews was gliding because he didnt think the guy 3x closer to the puck would just give up on it
