Enough with Drysdale and Zamula…..never going to win with AHL talent on the back end……Also enough with the benching of players….we had a defensive advantage and gave it up….obviously Sanheim is being overused…Torts will burn him out in a year or so
Flyers have no cohesion offensively. We get garbage goals and 2 on 1s. They play tentatively and without chemistry and a coach with a hair trigger changing lines does not help. We need better offensive coaching, someone with some ideas the players can believe in. Rocky Thompson ain't it. You can say "the coach can't take the shot" but scoring is about confidence and the players have no reason to be confident in what they're being told on the offensive side of things.
Love my coach here in Edmonton, but torts is one of the best man. This man wants the best out of you and wants the best out of a young team which is gonna benefit this franchise in the long run. Say what you want but he knows what he’s trying to accomplish and is slowly implementing structure in the organization. Be patient flyers fans, you’ll be in the run sooner than later. I believe it 👍🏼
I hope we get to look back 15 years from now and look at back at this time with a smile.. Briere having taken over, drafted mich.. they’ve got 3 firsts this year… young and building a culture. Hopefully a dynasty brewing..
What I like about briers/torts dynamic is the age difference, respect, and devotion to a shared plan and goal. Fans can get riled up. The flyers have a plan and are going to ride it through !
Brink has been the same problem again. Much worse #'s than last year. Jamie has actually made progress defensively. Still can't score. A rover has to get 15 goals a year. Jamie is nowhere close. But at least he's kind of okay besides that. Not good but…
This is all Tortorellas fault. He's a psychiatrist and he can't get those 2nd tier players to play over their head. He's the Grinch that Stole Xmas.

I don't believe that Tortorella is the problem. I like him a lot and hope he coaches us for the forseeable future.

That Frost line shift into the Kane goal was absolutely brutal. No Urgency, no pressing, 4 guys coasting to the bench….just gave up the game…

Buffalo in last 10years has had 2 1st overall picks 2 2nd overalls and drafted in top 10 the last decade every year.
They havent made the playoffs in 10 years.
Same story Utah( Arizona) made playoffs twice in last 12 years always drafting in top 5.
Time to get on phones and move out the died wood draft well and get ready for free agency!
