they have drafted so many early draft picks and are still crap
their defense is super soft and thats the main issue along with a dump gm and rehiring a coach they shouldnt have
Buffalo is like Green Bay (minus the championships): a small very passionate market. They will come to Sabres games if the owners give them something to cheer for. But when two of your stud draft picks leave and win cups? That is demoralizing.
My question is at what point can or does the NHL just step in a figure out what is going on? How does the league sit there and allow incompetent ownership and management to continue to destroy the franchise. We are so tired of this. We've been preached patience like 3 times now in 14 years. There is no patience anymore.
Terry hasn't spoken to the media about the SABRES in 5 years. He was just on NFL Network 4 days ago to talk about Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady buying a percentage of the Bills. It's clear where his attention is going towards and it's not this organization.
On paper i feel buffalo should be at best a competent competitive last wild card spot team instead of the dogshit they are showing off. God a feel bad for their goalies

Buffalo HAD been losing by just one or one and an empty netter…until Montreal. Now it just looks like they suck. Dahlin being gone the last 6 games HAS been an excuse but still..they just suck

Pagula bought the Amerks which cheap Golisano never did, he made the Amerks a winner, Golisano was so cheap he refused to pay Briere 5 million for 5 years before his arbitration case…that started the downfall…Pagula pays first rd picks million to play for Amerks and never even hesitated to pay Eichel 80 million, Dahlin 88 million, Tage 49 mill, Cozens 49 million, they saved cap space so they could add a forward this summer like Necas but Carolina kept him, a deal was worked out which Buffalo was sending huge package for him, but he stayed.

It is an ownership problem in Buffalo. But the sad reality is that the Bills and Sabres both have the same problem: as much as the ownership is terrible, the Pagulas are sadly the only ones keeping these teams in Buffalo. If a new Owner comes in, you just know the first thing on their mind is gong to be moving them out of Buffalo for good.

The coaching staff with the Sabres, they fired Granato, and kept all the assistant coaches. Ruff is the only new coaching hire. it should shock no one that the special teams are still putrid.
