Sabres embarrass Terry Pegula with pathetic loss in Montreal

Sabres owner Terry Pegula flew to Montreal to meet with his team on Monday, and reportedly gave the group a vote of confidence. The group was so motivated that they got smoked 6-1 by the worst team in the East. Sneaky Joe blasts the team and the owner for inaction and a horrific loss in a season of horrific losses.

Plus, the one idea that would give Joe a little bit of optimism, replacing Kevyn Adams with an experienced GM.

    Bills and Bandits have been kick ass. 2 out of 3 teams being good or great for several years is pretty dang good. And if that performance was "because of a Pegula visit", what does it say about the players? Aren't they paid enough to try? I have to try hard just to not wind up on the street. If these guys aren't playing for Lindy, what do we even have?

    Step #1 Fire Adams , Step #2 Pegula call Bowman ( he lives down the block ) is respected in league , and is no puppet . Step #3 Take Kim and your Daughter away on Yacht , heck go to London(UK) and play tennis , anything . Step #4 Let true hockey people run things while continually repeating step #3!

    1.Jamoro Kakolanien 11 yrs GM in CBJ
    2. Pierre Dorion 7yrs GM in Ottawa
    3.Ken Holland ex Oilers and Dead things GM but probably too old and not interested.
    4. And my pick Mike Futa- 13 years in LA from 2007 to 2020 , finished up as vice president who started out as a scout and worked his way up. He won 2 Cups with the Kings

    I believe Brian Burke is the commissioner of the PWHL right now. If he took the job though he would definitely make the Sabres a tougher team but probably not interested .

    It shouldn’t be used as an excuse, but with how “Fragile” the Spirit of this team is right now, that goal 18 seconds in that went off the Referees skate right to an open Canadien in front of the net took them out of the game IMMEDIATELY!

    This team needs to trade for an ANGRY and Mentally Strong player NOW!! Don’t care how good he is hockey wise at this point! They need someone to change the attitude in the dressing room and be a menace on the ice and show these soft players how to outwork teams!

    Mistakes were made. New kid will never get the deals they need to change the team enough to make a difference. So Adam’s needs to go. Good ol boy needs to come and save them. Hint. No more soft European players and no more players no matter how good below 6ft 200lbs.

    Hey, at least the players told the owner to F himself as opposed to just the fans this time, and we didn’t have to pay money for the effort. I would call it VAST progress.

    44-50-8 at home since 2022. I’ve seen this team give up 9 or 10 on kids day.

    Keep firing GMs and Coaches? How far has that helped till now…after 14 years is there an answer? Maybe it is time to sell the team and start over in 5 years…rescue Lindy so he can enjoy the rest of his life.

    Usually they tank starting in January. This is just typical for this soft team. No physical game period. We are playing hockey right ?

    The Swings in emotion Pegula must have about these teams. He gets a game ball from the bills / Mcdermott after they clinch the division with 5 weeks to play. And the Sabres are in the middle of… well this.

    3 young players have been wasted because Buffalo Sabres owner is too cheap to hire a real General Manager. Kevyn Adams sucked as a player . Cousins, Peterka, Quinn have only learned how to lose not win and that is on Adams and Pegula both don't have a clue how to build a competitive hockey team. They have no respect for fans nor for the past. Is it any wonder that Mel Martin stopped posting about this trash? People why support this clown operation any longer ? I have watched the NHL since the mid 1960's and this is absolutely disgusting how these 2 bums run this team! This isn't on Lindy Ruff … give the Harold Ballard loser award to Pegula and his little pet idiot Adams. By the way, I am not a Sabres fan I live in Western Canada I hope you guys can get a real owner soon and someone who is a real GM not Kevin Adams and a true owner who should be invested into the fanbase.
