I like the trade, but I'll miss Belligerent Bill. Solid blue liner.
I think they’ll likely move Beniers back up and Stephenson down so it’ll be Schwartz-Stephenson-Kakko.
Kraken fan here and just like with most fans, Borgen will be missed. Though we already have a few guys that provide physicality like Kartye, Turbo & Gourde but having additional offensive assets could be the answer to our woes. We saw improvement when Bylsma shuffled lines which unlocked more of Wright's potential but despite all that, it still wasn't enough and having Kakko could help buff our offense.
As a NYR fan, I like this trade. Not even remotely a fleece. Depth role player for a ufa and two picks…. fair value
Kaako still has a high ceiling. He was never utilized correctly in NY. Really like the kid, hope he goes far.
Not a devils or islanders fan but still love seeing the rangers screw up.
No lose trade for the Kraken, if Kakko develops in Seattle they look like geniuses. If nothing else he is a reliable 2 way guy with a low CAP hit
As a NY Rangers fan they continued to do this kid dirty, EFF NYR Management with the way they handled this kid. I'm happy for any team that he goes to, I wish him all of the best in his future.
