I'm a Habs fan, and I'm very realistic about our postseason chances at this point. But you can't help but wonder how many extra wins Laine might've stolen for us if he'd been healthy from the start of the season. Just 3 more wins than we have now would put us 1 point out of a wildcard spot.
Brother, respectfully, Laine is the furthest thing from Sabre fans minds. The owner, who hasnt spoken to fans in 5 years, flew to Montreal to address the team. The team responded giving up a goal 19 seconds in to a 6-1 loss to what was then the 2nd worst team in the East, to continue an 11 game losing streak, 4 years into a rebuild that started with trading away Sam Reinhart and Jack Eichel. And yes that all was one sentence. Good for Laine. Happy for him. We have Cthulu levels of evil we are trying to process here.
PS – and in the process of all that we completely humiliated the one figure the fans still love in Lindy Ruff.
Why all the buffalo embarrassment? Everyone knows they’re one of the worst and most embarrassing sports franchises ever. This just seems like a guy who’s sad about the rangers being so bad that you’re pointing your finger and laughing at one of the only teams that’s worse rn
Everyone seems to forget, this is the guy who scored 5 goals in one game and made some lucky woman a millionaire off of Safeway's Score to Win contest. Never doubt his abilities.
Both NYC NHL teams have turned into a bad joke this year. Much like their NFL teams. Actually, if you include Buffalo, every NHL team in the state is an embarrassment. At least the Bills are an NFL powerhouse.
Buffalo embarrasses themselves w/ lackluster, no-direction playing. I remember when Laine scored 5 in a game, then went a long time to score 5 more in total. Right now Yakupov could come back and light Buffalo up, even w/ UPL and Levi in night simultaneously. They have reached bottom, again. No end in sight until Pegula’s gone, which would mean Adams gone as well, thanks be to Jehovah. ðŸ˜
I get it, Habs fans, you need to something to cling onto. But outside of his shot on the PP, he doesn’t have much else to offer. I don’t see him on a contending team at all. He wouldn’t be able to keep up with their speed.
