What I will say is it does expose his mental toughness as a rookie but what McCoy said is also some truth because we can't expect every player to be mature and acting like a 30 year old. He wants to make a big difference but can't supersede the challenge at this point. Justin Fields was the same way his first two years. Bryce was even benched. Trent as well. Those are all learning experiences. So, the culture around him is also part of this point in his development. Who are his vets on the team? Mentors? Bears need to identify who can step up and take the young man under their wing. It cant be just on the head coach to do that for him. I remember Randy Moss benefitted from having Cris Carter do this for him when he was a young player in the NFL after a certain past some were bothered by and why they didn't take him higher in the draft.
