OMG, what a gimme goal to tie it up!!. Laugh'in myself silly on that freebee. You can tell the NY goalie was "dissapointed' that that one rolled through him. And LOL… Why is Austin celebrating his OT goal? Did he actually shoot the puck? I can't tell. G-d love him… he looked like a 10 year old trying to battle his way to the net with a tenacious 12 year old back checking him all the way. He was definitely determined to "hit the net" or die trying on that one. Hold your head up high Austin, nights like that happen!!
Great game boys!! Of course who could imagine the entire team would revert to their 10 year old selves during an NHL game. Stolarz will be owed for the rest of his life after stealing that game from the entire New Jersey team single handedly. Leaf's appear to have some goaltending, or a defense. I've yet to decide which… It's too bad only the kids of the NHL players can afford to watch the NHL games live these days.
Gotta love Stolarz. What a stud. Other than Matthews the Leafs just literally had no offence. He could have easily had 4 goals. He had 5 SOG and missed the net a few times on prime chances.
DYNAMITE GAME!! Serious kudos to Toronto to come back and win this one. One of the fastest, strong game I've see in a long time. Mathiews is Mister nerves of steel on that goal. The Maple Leafs needs to hone in on that exact lesson: don't give up! Live that moment like it's your last game. If they keep their chin up, they'll bring the Stanley Cup home. They are THAT good. I agree the leafs were badly outshot, but i watched the game and shots that counted for new jersey, the same type of shot was not counted for toronto, it means nothing, but just saying.
