I think they should keep Evans. We will have a need for two and maybe three centers. I think Beck should be #3 line and Kap could be on the wing for now. Evans is a known fantastic 4th center. He can always be traded in the future.

Feels like just yesterday Evans was rushing down the ice to score against the Jets before being mauled by Mark F Scheifele. Time flies
Habs PK until recently has been in the top 10. A key part has been the play of the 4 pending UFAs:- Evans, Armia, Dvorak and Savard. If all leave who replaces them on the PK? Owens is one possibility however he may need time to transition to NHL.
The defense is lacking and the root cause for losing games. Would hope that Habs acquire experienced and reliable players.
Horton and Hughes have destroyed this team with moves that are aging terribly . To get Dach Montreal gave away Romanov, 13 nth overall pick and a second round pick . For Newhook they gave away a 1 st and 2 nd round picks . For Dvorak also gave away a 1 st and 2 nd round pick .
Hughes picked Reinbacher over Michkov at the draft . Criminal stupidity . Barron and a second for Lekhonen is not aging well either.
Slafkovsky over Cooley is looking questionable too .
The biggest problem this team has always had is bad management. They always get it wrong in the draft table and make bad trades
