As a Nashville Predators fan. Stamkos has been brutal for us this season, so far. To be real, the whole team has lol. We’re finally just starting to see some chemistry between stamkos, forsberg, and marchy. I could see this happening. But man, I really don’t want it to
If Miller can’t sort out whatever had him on leave then I could see him and Zibanejad being swapped. But you’re right, Stamkos for Zibanejad makes more sense.

I can see Perunovich and Saad being available from stl. Stl doesnt have the cap space for retention. Lindgren also wouldn't make much sense for Stl since we just got Fowler. I could see the Blues being interested in Chytil though, as we need a center more then anything

Been a fan for 45 years and this has been one of the most difficult stretches I can recall – in part because of the expectations coming off last year. They need to address the lack of physicality and forecheck intensity of this team. To me this has been a fundamental identity question for a few years. Two ways we could look at this…
1. Physicality: Look at the hits per game for each player and compare to league average for their position and minutes played.
2. Forecheck: Look at average time in offensive zone 5v5 and compare to league average and top teams.
My hypothesis is that they are well below average here. And this is about a mentality, effort…AND the players they have on the roster.
Look at the last 10 years of Stanley Cup Winners:
2024: Florida Panthers, Coach Paul Maurice
2023: Vegas Golden Knights, Coach Bruce Cassidy
2022: Colorado Avalanche, Coach Jared Bednar
2021: Tampa Bay Lightning, Coach Jon Cooper
2020: Tampa Bay Lightning, Coach Jon Cooper
2019: St. Louis Blues, Coach Craig Berube
2018: Washington Capitals, Coach Barry Trotz
2017: Pittsburgh Penguins, Coach Mike Sullivan

I suspect these teams were near the very top on these stats. Florida of course is the prototype for this. There are other factors of course (great goaltending) but this is what it takes to win at the highest level.
So, that leads me to the unfortunate conclusion that they do need to make some pretty fundamental changes.
You should throw trocheck in these mock trades theres no reason rangers should keep him hes been awful lafreniere is only guy on that line whos been okay recently including panarin whos also been bad if im drury im asking panarin wherr he wants to go and if hell waive NMC

In fairness, Stamkos has been brutal 5 on 5 for a while now. Great career, HoFer for sure… but he's been a Kucherov merchant for some time now.

Everyone's value has plummeted. Any trade the NYR make will have them losing more assets then they should. But I guess if you want to do a cleansing then blow it all up.
