What’s the best anthem tradition in the NHL?

  1. Maybe this is just me being from a family with a lot of military service and a test, but always thought the tradition in Chicago was kind of disrespectful to the flag to clap during the anthem either sing or be silent. Don’t do some noise that’s not reflective on what the anthem means.

  2. I like when Philadelphia plays Kate Smith’s version of God Bless America in the playoffs instead of the national anthem.

  3. Years ago I n Ottawa, we used to have Lyndon Slewidge who is a retired OPP officer do all our anthems. Dude could really belt them out. At the end, he would always blow a kiss and salute. It was his trademark. He’s done a couple games since, and the crowd goes wild since he’s a legend here.

  4. No one does it like Chicago. The roar of the crowd combined with the powerful tenor voice blasting out the national anthem. Theres nothing like it.😊

  5. i get asked why are starts fans so loud when they shout during the national athem….uh team spirit? i guess?

  6. Edmonton oilers have the fans sing most of the Canadian national anthem during the playoffs and it has reached NHL record breaking volume in Roger’s place. I think the oilers should be in this because if you are putting in a terrible one like the Calgary flames, you might as well put in Edmonton. I mean, who has a national anthem tradition for the OPPOSITE country, I just think that’s stupid. Anyway EDMONTON WILL WIN THE CUP IN 2025

  7. Not only are they not the northernmost but they are also the worst city in Canada.

  8. True north is the loudest and they say that because in 1996 they lost their team and relocated to Arizona but in 2011 they were brought back by the TRUE NORTH sports and entertainment. P.S GO JETS GO!

  9. calgary: “o say can you SEE (C)”
    “and the rockets RED glare”

seattle: “o say can you SEE (SEA)” “banner yet WAVE”

vegas: “gave proof through the (K)NIGHT

dallas: “whose broad stripes and bright STARS” “o say does that STAR spangled banner..”
