Chris they need you behind the bench to give an old fashioned ass kicking
We have a NHL Lombardi with Chris not joking we need passion and he brings it all other things fall into place
How many times was Gallagher crosschecked in front of the opponents goalie and rarely get a call
Great podcast one of the best
Chris this comes from the top it’s an internal tank why else would you have Matheson on the pk when he continually gets burned with goals when he’s on! Why isn’t Primeau not on waivers becouse I’ll tell you Gorton and Hughes want it that way that’s why! They know there’s still to many players that have to be moved that are dead weight on this team and yes they want that last high draft pick btw they know what rookies might or could be with the team next year ie Demidov,Hage and Fowler besides maybe a Tuch etc imagine if they pick up a big boy like Mortone
Again like you said Matheson with Hutson ?? Where’s the logic internal Tank and I’m sure Marty is being told what they want to see there’s no other way to look at it but an internal tank like I’ve been saying.
Pezzetta should be in the lineup. He is a guy with meat and bones, as Tony said.
Can they not put Dach in Laval to get his game back? After 25 games in the bigs, he's still struggling…go to plan B then. It couldn't hurt him, he needs the time to regain his game.
8 and 48 should not be paired ever , even if they are on the PP.
MSL seems to be a finesse minded coach IMO.
He doesn't seem to like the grinding players like Xhekaj and Pezzetta.
Suzuki with C is the epitome of soft
Slaf needs to be benched and/or sent to Laval. That boy needs a kick in the pants.
Let Laval experience some success. Let them dominate and enjoy winning.
We had Johnathan Kovacevic 6'5" RD and we left go for almost nothing so we keep Justin Barron in MTL.
Upper management needs to be held accountable…and lets not forget how well Michkov is playing in Pilly.
Hey folks….Montrealer here, in case you're wondering, YES it is normal for habs fans to talk about the Canadiens glory years even 40 to 60 later!
Dach out, Pezetta in!
Barron out, Struble in!
Great show Chris and Tony!
I got a Lafleur and Nilan jersey as well. Two of my favourites as a kid
Hutson needs Reinbacher
Chris and Tony quel délice.
Off the record, you have to ask yourself how much are the 7 draft picks in the first three rounds of the 2025 draft regulating this team. It has to be in the back of your mind.
No one wants to lose 9-2, but, looking at the standings Montreal retained 5th from the bottom while Pittsburgh moved up to 20th overall from 24th overall and still be near the bottom of their division. You talk about Kirby, which seems true, but Slaf is floating out there. That lad needs to learn how to stand in the crease a little more.
Lastly, none of us know what it's like in that dressing room.
I still think Dach will get it together. Romanov would be nice to have on the blueline now, but I think his ceiling is as high as it gets now. He is a 20 minute guy, hits, and makes a good pass out of the zone. That is about it for Romanov. Not bad, but not special. I think Dach will turn into a bonefide 2nd center, but more patience is needed. His injury set him back 18 months of development. I'd take a bonefide 2nd center over a 2nd pairing dman. Nothing against Romanov though, I really liked him as a hab.
Ah shut up Chris! And Tony, you're boring.
Habs need Connor Hughes.
Great show Knucks and i hope you recover quickly. Your awesome
I dont want to bash Marty but he needs help behind the bench. What has pezzetta done to not get in the lineup? Most nights armia and dach are invisable. Its time to move Heineman into the top 6 and see what he can do with more ice time and playing with more talented players.
Love your show but the canadiens haven't done all that much since they dont get the best player out of quebec every year
I do feel the current Habs lack intensity and there's no sandpaper or grit on the team. Dach so far seems invisible out there until he screws up (like a bad giveaway or penalty). Pezzetta has only played 3 games this season (none since the end of October), he should play at least maybe once or twice every couple weeks.
When you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Who said we gon make the playoff next year or in 2 year ? Nothing guarantee ! We are at the bottom with a full line up ! No number 1 goalie no second line no good defensive system ! Slafkovsky + Dach are at 2 goals in 30 games. TRADE NOW Dvorak, Armia , Newhook Barron Primeau ain’t good enough ALL OUT PLEASE. Not enough physical and mental toughness
Has anybody ever thought that perhaps it’s a generational thing? Imagine how difficult it would be to coach a bunch of Gen Z’s that have been coddled their whole lives. Any sign of aggression from a coach in this day and age would probably lose the room. How are you supposed to coach that?!
I was in law-enforcement; and had several rookies shadowing me on the job. Every time I would be firm with these rookies, they would fold like a cheap suit. I had one rookie almost cry and told me that he didn’t come to work to get yelled at. I wasn’t even yelling (yet) How do you coach this generation? How do you motivate a cupcake? That’s the problem. Ask Tortorella it’s a GenZ problem.
Thanks for the updates. True Hab fans should be subscribed to both your podcasts. The info, insight and personal stories are really entertaining. Kudos to you both.
