My 2cents as a life long Rangers' Fan: It's Chris Drury's fault. The public lack of confidence in Kreider and Truba, and the crap trade they got for Truba, is sending a message that no one is safe, no matter how good they were last year. That kills anything they might have had in the locker room. And that's where the Rangers' have drawn a lot of their strength from in the past 10-15 years. I don't know what his grand plan is, or why he's shopping a life long Ranger known to produce great goals, but whatever he's doing, he's killing the team.
And that's the sad reality of being a fan of an NHL team. Only one team can come out on top each year when their stars align, which means 31 disappointed fan bases. Don't count this team out yet… they may be majorly slumping now but things have a way of working out for the teams with the most talent.

My wife and I are Rangers fans. We're to the point that when the other team is 3 points up, we just watch or do something else. They had a good start this season but man is it hard to watch the consistent blow outs.
could be worse, you could be 2-9-1 to start the season and need a 16 game winstreak to drag yourself back to the playoffs. This is how Oilers fans felt last year. Chin up, it'll get better. Hopefully

They shouldn’t have traded their captain. Yeah, Trouba could have been better but to trade away your captain? That sucked out morale.
