  1. Cam fowler is still playing?!?!?!?! 😂😂😂

I remember the rookie video Anaheim but out when they still had perry, getzlaf, and ryan.

  2. Makes me wonder if they picked him up to have options to trade one of the other D like Parakyo who has been rumored to be on the trade block for the last few years. Would hate to see him go through, but it always depends on what you get for him.

  3. I read somewhere that when trying to pronounce a word, to do it in reverse, one syllable at a time. ka.. taka… butaka… kabutaka…… biakabutaka.

  4. I think the Blues see that Suter is not helping Parakyo and needed to do something now. Army has said it will take 1-2 years before we contend. We have 5 #1 picks coming up, so I think 2026-27 is a reasonable projection for contention.

  5. In his presser, Army said that this was partly because of Nick Leddy’s injury setbacks, but since Leddy and Fowler will have the same cap hit, that does make me wonder if he hasn’t played his last game as a Blue.

It will also be interesting to see who he ends up being paired with and which of our D prospects will be gone

  6. Really really wish the Blues would’ve dealt a defensive contract the other way. I have a ton of faith in Army, but the blue line is way overcrowded with mid-30s defensemen.

  7. LOL on X some Blues fans saying what they think other Blues fans will say and then complaining about it

  8. Ducks fan here 🙋‍♂️. Bittersweet for sure. Wish Cam nothing but the best in St. Louis but i like that move. We needed to move a Dman or 2 to gice our young defenders the chance to play. Guys like Mintyukov, Zelleweger, Helleson now get the chance to play more regularly which is good.

  9. It's the end of an era. The Sharks had Nemo, the Kings had (Dwight) King, and the Ducks had Fowler. All of the California teams had players whose name/nickname suited the team well, and now none of them do.

  10. Actual you pronounced the name wrong, it’s Biakabutuka. I wonder if he’s any relation to the former Michigan Wolverine RB from the 90’s? He was a Canadian NCAA football player, rare in those days.

  11. The end of an era for Anaheim. Peak Fowler was borderline elite. The disrespect this guy has gotten from the "fans" over the past couple seasons will always be dumb. Been a true professional for this team for nearly 1,000 games with the highest ice time in a lot of them. Kept positive +/- in the play-offs when we've been good and played 25+ min a night when we haven't. Thank you, Cam!

  12. Welcome to St. Louis Mr. Fowler!!
Army working on keeping up the great Blues Alum community. So many stars come to St. Lou before they are through. And they stay!
Petr Stastny played one season in St. Louis. Then stayed here for decades raising his family.
Wayne Gretzky played 18 regular seasons games here. Has a home in St. Louis (Helps that the in-laws live here).
Martin Brodeur had 4 starts as a Blue. A St. Louis resident ever since. Lives here now.

Mr. Fowler you are part of our community now. I hope we can make it nice for ya!!

(Don't worry, you're not trapped. You can leave if you want, but you can stay if you want too!!)

  13. Blues all of a sudden look stacked w/ depth on the left when healthy:

Broberg, Fowler, Leddy, Suter, Joseph, Perunovich, Tucker before we get into the prospects. The question mark will be if Broberg can stay consistent down the stretch.

  14. Thanks Shannon. Just really hope Nick Leddy still has a career. Seems like this all happened after of his recent injury evaluation.

  15. It's actually Jeremie Biakabutuka. It's pronounced just as it looks. I know this as I have watched alot of Charlottetown Islanders games from The QMJHL and he was a very good defenseman for them.

  16. I don't get this trade from the Blues' point of view at all. Another 30+ year old defenseman with a not-great cap hit.

  17. I don't get this trade for STL. Fowler isn't a great dman, so they gave up 2nd for a middle/bottom pairing guy who even at 4m is over priced. That seems to be their problem is they have Broberg who is doing pretty good and Paryako and then after that they have a bunch of guys who are really bottom pairing talent playing top pairing minutes and be paid like it too.

  18. Bruins made a interesting claim I feel like for years people always expecting wahlstroms breakout to happen the next year

  19. i was at giroxs 1000th game! and yep they traded him the next day pretty much never played again for the flyers finished with exactly 1000

  20. blues also got a 4th round pick, and the retention is a bigger deal than you made it out to be….thanks, and great job as always!!!

  21. It's a tough name but the proper way to pronounce it is 🫢 (muffled noises).

    I hope that helped.

  22. ever since you did your video on how the ducks were doing well fowler came back and we lost every game. sad
trouba wants to stay. his wife wants to start her career here.

  23. 991 games? That's the most surprising heart. Verbeek's heart hasn't wormed up (gonna leave those Freudian slips in there) since he was a player.

  24. What do I think? Answer is that Verbeek is a bad GM. It's one thing to be in a rebuild but quite another to feel directionless. He's known for being a tough as nails negotiator and stubborn (per Elliott Friedman) but then does crap like take on Trouba's entire contract without getting paid and sign Killorn for too much too long. Were it not for Dostal, they're probably at a similar record to Chicago. Can almost guarantee that some of the lack of progression by his younger guys is the result of locker room issues starting with him, certainly the case in Columbus that were witnessing once they finally switched GM's.

The other rebuilders in the West: Chicago, Utah, and SJ all make moves that make sense however bad or promising their play or however slow feeling the progression. Not the case with Anaheim.

Verbeek should be taken to task.

  25. Zellweger looks like he might be something special, if not I still see him becoming a above average player in the next few years, Fowler has served Anaheim for a long time, I've always liked him probably a decent 2nd paring guy or a great 3rd paring guy in STL

  26. Why? Blues aren't winning anything, and likely not in the playoffs. Why lose a draft pick unless Fowls helps you tank?
