  1. Even when Demidov is playing great, Rotenburg still benches him, so Kovalev, you're not right on this.

  2. Coming from someone who never deserved his ice time due to his effort on the ice but solely because of his talent… It's not like Demidov has anything in his power to get more ice time anyway unless he sign a contract with mother Russia.

  3. Kovalev played once every 3 to 4 games… Got most of his points on powerplay. He never was an amazing star player. 84 points was his max I believe. Wasted talent. He was their best player… Their benching him on purpose, cuz he's leaving anyway…

  4. Kovalev is right. Demidov should arrive first and leave last for ANY training.

It's a PERFECT time for him to get russian techniques and improve his body with training without playing 80 games a season.

  5. Демидову не дадут больше времени потому что он покинет клуб. А зачем клубу поддерживать игрока, который хочет уйти и открыто это говорит? В СКА и без него куча хоккеистов с большим опытом, а Демидов пока совсем зелёный

  6. I dont personally know what Demidov should do but cry foul to the media in Russia??? If you deep dive the complete situation its easy diagnosed that Demidov is being penalized by SKA for not signing the extention offered to him this past fall. His +/- is up with the best on the SKA team. Thus as a 18/19 first year rookie to have double digit =/- and at time when he was given his share of regular game mins was at the top of the SKA team point lead doesnt make sense to have his ice time dropped to 3to6 min a game???

  7. As good a player as Demidov is – he is only 18 years old, a first year pro – he is towing the line as a rookie – Demidov doesn't strike me as a guy who IS or wants to be seen as a Prima Donna (not his nature).

Alexi K. was tremendously talented (amongst the most skilled players I have ever seen) but – as a player – he did not exactly have the heart of a Lion.
