They need an experienced coach for these young men.Stop doung the same mistakes as the last 30+ years….its insane to have a pee wee coach,coaching a NHL team.
St louis is absolutely destroying this team! I was a huge fan of his and the way he stood up for Slaf in the last season when he was struggling and everyone wanted him to go down to AHL was amazing and we saw what happened in the second half of the season. However what he's doing this season is brainless. All the decisions he's made are not only damaging the team but also the players. HE broke literally the only line we had that could compete w anyone in the league and was a legitimate threat in every game because of one bad game. He rotates the other lines like crazy and players cannot find any chemistry between each other. And lastly he is punishing Slaf like he's the sole reason this team absolutely sucks this season overlooking the fact that other players did not show much more than him at all. I don't know what's going on in his head but if this continues, it is not going to end well for Montreal…
WTF is MSL doing with all these changes all the time? Why don't they change him for a change? And what is Slafkovsky supposed to learn on the 4th line of a bottom feeder team? It looks like people forgot that he's still only 20 with just 1,5 season of north American hockey under his belt. Remember how poorly he played before he was paired with the teams best? If you don't want to develop him then trade hime somewhere they do and stop wasting his talent. The guy must be so disillusioned by now…
Why is Dach playing at all, he had the puck in overtime and instead of waiting for teammates to change he dumped it out. no hockey sense,…..as a team 12 shots in the game is unacceptable
Hi guys. Great show once again. I am worried about St. Louis and to a lesser extent Hughes as well. It is hard to believe that a guy who never coached anyone other than kids could all of a sudden be a coach for Les Habitants.
I hope this is not a situation like the 2:01 Mario Tremblay/Rejean Houle tandem who never coached or was in a GM role before.
I take solace in the fact that the Habs are so young as the 2nd youngest team in the league. We need to bank on 2 years out to be competitive.
Having said that, Dach and Skaf need to be better. Dach entered the O zone on one play and just gave the puck away. Also, on the OT winner, he showed no intensity on pushing the passer to the outside so it was easy for him to pass to the front of the net for the winner.
The only forward with any jump in his step is Caufield and maybe Newhook.
The players are overthinking the game because Marty is overthinking the game. It’s hard because I like him but there are a lot of nuances to coaching that come with experience.
The squad is weak (No speed, no grit, no one supremely skilled), the coaching is bad, I don't know how can anyone can be even a bit positive about this rebuild. It feels like being back to the Ducharme era and even worse.
A long long long time ago I was a teacher. Everyone "knows" that anyone can be a teacher and everyone can do it better.
Of course there is an amazing gap better being in the position of "teacher" and being a great teacher. As with any job being great is not assured by your background.
I think St Louis is not a great teacher or coach. Maybe like Gretzky, he expects his players have the same drive as he had. Maybe St Louis thinks his players innately have his talents. Whatever he clearly is not a great coach.
Time to move on.

It takes veteran players to guide the youth. It is so clear now that it also takes veteran coach to guide the team. GET. SOME. COACHING. HELP. NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of players not contributing. Armia Newhook Dach. Not sure what the Habs see in Dach I know I’m not seeing much. Glad Roy was called up, but putting him with Evans reduces his productivity. Try him with Suzuki and Caufield. Primeau tonight so hard to be optimistic.
Put Slav back on the first line
Can guarantee one thing..if Molson started seeing attendance drop at the Bell Centre, there would definitely be changes. Nothing sets off panic when owners start losing money. Boycott games to this dumpster fire of a severely lack lustre squad.

Its time to move on from St Louis. We need a NHL hockey coach. Please bring up Pascal or get someone. I am not going to watch the game tonight against Columbus. This team is unwatchable , they looked so confused last night. The team is a mess, and were is Molson on this. If I was the owner i would be pissed. Xhekaj is afraid to hit someone, if he takes a penalty he will be benched. Marty has lost the team and get rid of that skills coach. Their skills are going backwards, not improving.
quit dicking around is the solution. MSL gone. worse coaching record in Habs history. These are good players. Management needs to rid him now before Christmas. This cant be personnal. Its a business.

If MSL goes, Slaf and rest of the team will pick up their game. He is the real problem. Things that he is doing are illogical, seemingly ego-driven and absolutely absurd. Everybody sees that. And if he wants to argue that "you are not a man take advice from" than he needs to show fans and experts some results. His "system" is not working, he is bad mentor and horrible tactic.

Great players don't make great coaches……just ask Wayne. I love Marty as a player but he is in over his head for coaching and this team is only a 2 line team at best

Hello to everyone. I am really big fun of the team. But now I do not know what is happening here! Last season I could see that it is an nhl team but this season after sluf injury it doesn’t look like nhl team anymore. I am sad about it but I thing that this team as it is would be at bottom of any europien league. Something or somebody is ruining the potential which was visible last year.
