Absolute lie, even a beer league hockey player could have tried to avoid at least 50% of that hit… he did literally nothing to avoid the collision in that video.
Dude Milan braced for that hit, and stopped moving his feet from the dot to hitting Miller. I dont care what he says, this was a hit
Lucic literally stopped moving his feet before the top of the circle.
No one talks about the fact if Miller had connected with his goalie stick, it would have done serious damage to Lucic.
Go back to old days if leave creece open season
I miss LUC in a Bruins jersey…still one of my faves.
I’m a Habs fan and hated this version of the Bruins, but I also watched them as much as possible. From 2010-2014, they were the most entertaining team, easy.
I'm so glad he's not in Edmonton anymore. So overrated.
I believe him. I like Ryan but he was at fault.
I was there few rows back where that hit took place! Phenomenal!
Lucic needs to remember this then when someone lays him out with a clean hit and he wants to cry about it
Bring Looch back to Boston
Milan did what he did, and No one, I mean no one did anything about it, that speaks volumes! With that being said, I sure miss him not being on the Bruins anymore
He's telling the truth, you can see at the end it was simply bracing for impact. He was not in checking mode.
How old is this interview? This happened so long ago and who are you to be judging any other hockey player that makes a legal hit? How many times were you suspended for your hits? How many concussions did you cause? How many points did you have in your 10 year career? You were on the ice to fight and hurt players. Good riddance.
I’m still trying to figure out how he got a breakaway he’s so slow goalie beat him to puck
The Sabres did nothing but cry the rest of the game.
Lucic skates like a charging bull! They should make a horror game from that Ryan miller pov
I believe him because although he was a pretty damn good hockey player, quick movements to the side were not his forte.
It's funny, Buffalo has never been the same since.
The Bruins are an abomination of a hockey team but I believe him
he's out of his net fair game. lay em out nice hit 👊
It's called strength. There was no intent. If anything… goalies should stay tf in net if they're 150lbs and can't handle any contact
john and luch should start a podcast
You can see in the replay that it did look like he just braced himself for impact last second.. like oh shit why are you here
Cool story bro.
Video shows Lucic looking up before impact. Puck was going towards the boards by then. Whatever.
Bullshit he's a scumbag 😂 RYAN MILLER FOREVER
John Scott, can’t skate, can’t puck handle, can’t shoot, can’t score. Zero respect for a two bit thug.
Ask Lucic's wife that question now.
Awkward how this aged eh?
That was a clean hit.
Excuses
Lucic and Marchand, 2 of the dirtiest players to ever play.
If Miller stayed in his net he’d have been fine. He put himself at risk.
It's a believable story until you see him follow through with a cross check to Miller's head
I expect any NHL level skater to be able to avoid that collision if they so choose
Like the goalie didn't see him skating at him? He wasn't catching that puck anyway.
Yeah, it was an accident. It's so clear on how he checks him with his shoulder and then follow through with his hands and stick. I agree Miller put himself into the line of fire, but Lucic just abused the situation. It was a dirty hit and Lucic never cared about other people's health. I like physical hockey, but this crap is dangerous (i.e. Miller's concussion/whiplash). Miller should've just checked Lucic, but he was too nice of a guy. I've always liked the physical culture of the Bruins (the NHL has gotten so soft now-a-days), but they're like the friend that always took rough housing too far and ended up hurting someone or breaking something in the house
