Interesting that they didn't give Akhtyamov a chance here. He has been on an absolute tear with the Marlies, whereas Hildey has struggled a bit. I like both guys a ton, but surprised Akhtyamov didn't get a shot

I love that Hildeby is not averse to talking with the media. His English isn't great, not the worse I've seen, but a little basic. And he's obviously a little nervous when he talks, but good on him for putting himself out there all the time.

I like that they aren't rushing Akhtiamov in just because he's white hot right now. Hildeby seemed to take a step back after being shelled during his last callup. That happens to young goalies, though.
