Penguins looking to complete a season sweep over Montreal!

The Pittsburgh Penguins will start a brief two-game road trip through Canada when they take on the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday followed by the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. Hunter and Patrick get you set for the matchup against the Canadiens where the Penguins could get a season sweep against them. They take a look at a young but promising Montreal roster that still needs some high-end talent outside of Suzuki and Caufield. Then, they go over the keys to victory for the Penguins and how there may be a weird lineup decision before they look at how the Penguins could be welcoming back a former prospect as early as next season.

  1. Go pens go!! got my tv set my automated lights and the pens goal horn and goal song set hopefully it’s a good night and get us motivated for Ottawa Saturday

  2. Sorry, but I had to laugh when you talked about how bad the Canadiens are for only having two players with double-digits in goals scored in Caufield and Suzuki at this point in the season. The Penguins only have one (Rakell). LOL

  3. I don't know much about Filip Hallander even though I can look at his Wilkes and SHL stats. His Pens karma history is bad though. Pens drafted him in the 2nd round. Next, the Pens trade a 1st round pick, Hallander, and Evan Rodrigues for garbage Kasperi Kapanen. If the Pens retained the 1st round pick they could have drafted: Dawson Mercer, Braden Schneider, Yegor Chinakhov, Connor Zary, Jake Neighbors, Ridley Greig, Mavrick Bourque, JJ Peterka, or Brock Faber. YIKES! Next, the Pens trade JARED MCCANN for Filip Hallander. DOUBLE YIKES!

  4. That was a beatdown on the habs! Good game through 2 periods and then the flood gates open for the penguins. The habs pulled a penguins move and collapsed in the 3rd. It was nice seeing a win but the habs aren't good. Im happy for nieto getting a goal but i agree he shouldnt be in over hayes or puljujarvi. Hayes hasnt been great but serviceable on the powerplay and puljujarvi has been a bright spot

  5. Well, you guys are going to have some good vibes to talk about on today's show, the top line absolutely cooked the Montreal Canadiens last night. Also, I am fine with Hallander coming back into the organization, adds a good depth forward if anything else.

Also Hunter, I echo your comments about Taylor Haase. Her work is phenomenal, I read it all the time.
