Last few games have made the other teams goalies look like studs. The defense is noticeably not good vs last seasons team. Getting goalied was fine 4 years ago, not so much now. Edmonton and Calgary will both beat the cats if this keeps up. Time for a shake up of the lines. Give bjornfoot a shot. And Spencer time in goal. Go Cats
Mikkola seems like the only defender that is confident with the puck. I dont think we played that bad honestly. Things were stacked against us. JT miller coming back, Lankinen fighting for starting goalie, and some other canuck milestones. It felt the same as the 1st game against boston in the playoffs last season where we lost 6-1 or 6-2. Canucks blocked a ton of shots. i think our shot attempts were in the 70s or 80s but not even 30 actually hit the net. Lets not forget that the Nucks had some crazy good puck luck tonight. 1st goal right off ekblads stick, 3rd goal goes off the boards, off the net, and right on Boeser's stick, 4th goal while it was a good tip it just so happens to go right over Bob. Unfortunate game but it happens. Defense does need to work on speed and breakouts for sure.
Thank fuck we won't have to see Vancouver in regular season until next October. What the actual hell, man. Why are these goalies recently looking like they want to rip us a new one? Dudes performing like Brodeur or Roy in net only when playing against us. Oh well, onto Calgary, and if Vladar or Wolf starts doing the same, I'm gonna have a mental breakdown.
