On 11.2.24.

FWIW I think Liljegren must have just come off the bike when he talked to us

  1. Ryan Warsofsky has got to make his defencemen hit more and knock people down. If Sharks do not hit more, then they will not knock larger opponents off puck and out of front of net. Sharks need more grinding style hockey and fighting in the corners, and effective exit defencemen from their own zone. Maybe Sharks should double practice time until the team gets its game on track. Too many bad penalties and rookie mistakes again, a game of backsliding and gaffes. Trade for Liljegren may turn out better if he hits more and passes puck out of end better. Their defence is improving but still not solid enough to shut down an aggressive team like Vancouver. Mike Grier needs to make more trades or waiver claims to keep stirring up this team's development. When will the Sharks get blown out next and let in 10 goals against like last year's collapse?

  2. I'm a Leafs fan cheering on Liljegren to do well in SJ. It's too bad it didn't work out for him in Toronto but there's still a huge chance for him to be a reliable top-4 D-man. He's prone to missing coverage sometimes but he's still young and with more playing time, there's no where to go but up for him.

  3. Only plus defenseman tonight. He'll work his way up this lineup. Good luck Lilly, hate to see u go, but surely for the best.

  4. I'm really sorry Toronto let him go. I understand it but he worked incredibly hard and deserved better. I am happy he is with a team where his talents can benefit everyone and hopefully he is given more responsibility and can be a critical piece of this SJ future. He is a great guy and I hope you all love him like we do.

  5. Wish nothing but the best for Lilly! He's going to be solid for the Sharks and is still young enough to grow with that young core.
