A big wink for Suzuki pass for Laine’s goal…
Laine easily his best game. Man he really looked like a star. I think he hit 2 posts. A goal. An assist and shootout goal. That 2nd line is really starting to get chemistry. I thought Laine despite having 2 goals in his first 3 games looked a little slow. You seen the talent was there but just wasn't in shape and still had nerves. Tonight he was skating well. Making great passes. Looked confident and even shown some physicality. I dont think this puts us back into playoff contention. Also just wanna say I'm so happy our teams healthy. In the regular season we are yet to suffer a major injury as the Laine and RHP ones were in off season. We were really battling with injuries in those 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
All well and good, guys, all well and good. Nice to get the win. Just keep in mind that it took us a shoot-out to beat Anaheim at home, in a game where we got badly outshot. In fact, without Monty standing on his head, most if not all of our recent W's would have been L's. LOTS to still improve on before we start getting too excited about the state of this franchise.
Excellent show tonight guys.
Excellent game. A lot to be happy. D still needs work in their own end. Thanks guys.
Do we extend Laine now?
# 72 improving every game and getting more ice
I hate the term Saviour applied to any single player. I’m happy Laine has found his groove on PP. He admits that he still needs to work on his 5-on-5 play. But burying the No Look Pass from the Captain .. THAT was money!
They is still a big hill to climb ,still last in the conferance
Dach still looks like absolute CRAP!! dont care that he scored a lucky goal
Lane Hutson, the 2024 ROTY so far!
Free Demidov!!
Someone on the broadcast said Monty's save percentage in wins was nine seventy something, not nine thirty something. Maybe I'm wrong… I don't know what Josh is seeing, but for the first 20 games or so, Dach looked like he was skating in weighted skates. So slow out there. He's improved since Laine joined the line, but both will hopefully speed up as the season progresses.
He's gonna be unstoppable when he has fully recovered (Laine hasn't recovered his speed yet because the leg injury – very long time without even chance to train cardio). He's clearly loving Montréal if he already plays this good even though he's currently in very bad shape and still getting know his new team mates. It seems like Laine would like to play his career in Montréal, he has even started to learn French
Just imagine once Laine is back in game shape. 4th game in a year, he is probably not at 100% game shape.
BTW, on pace for 61 goals!
Thank you Jesse for just being you, man. That smile, that postivity man just makes my day everytime.
1st period: Habs were doing okay for first five minutes then nodded off where Dach's blind pass in the offensive zone went the other way to Terry's first goal. 2nd period: Dach redeemed himself on the counterattack snapping his goal and point drought (Slaf also breaking a point drought). They rallied, but Dostal kept the Ducks in the game. Hutson getting his point streak to 7, now holding the record for a Habs rookie defenseman. Laine gets a great shootout winner.
Cole needs to go on second pp, he will never score again. Put them 50/50 on the ice. It's nice Demidov works in the jim but some work too much that it effects their game on ice, like slaf is the same. Too much of anything makes you bad… They need balance.
Since ordering my 48 jersey… 7 games in a row baby I said it before if he had better goal scorers he will get more point. We need him to get 2,3 points in a game though that's how you get 80 points plus in a season.
Lol no clue again playing bottom teams and get out played lucky to get the win
Soon teams will start cheating on their penalty kill to neutralize Laine. Caufield will be feasting.
When is Hughes getting a backup goalie.
It's all Really HUGE !!!!
How is Evans ? Listening to the game he got hurt in the third hope he is ok 😢
Like i named him a while ago…The Goalden Finn
but the worst line was dach , slaf , laine
The more you love him, the better he plays. He’s truly a star, a presence, and clearly loves being in Montreal. ✌️
only 1/2 Ukrainian, but I am disgusted that Russian players are allowed on our Canadian ice, especially The Ovie (injured, no tears).
It's cool but I need to see him score at even strenght
Demigod is going straight to the first line with Suzy and Cole right? Newhook to the third line!
Boys better work on their break away shooting…had a chance to put this and the last game away. I'll take any win any way.
We are finally making the opposing goaltender move laterally. That breads goals. Same on all 3 Laine goals.
Laine earns 9mill per year, he is doing bit under bare minimum of what a player with that kind of salary should
Miskov wich team …playing
I'm excited that Laine is mentally strong and healthy.
I’m disappointed in this win. Takes this long to beat Anaheim, all the way to SO
Laine, Caufield and Demidov as a lineup for shootouts is a cheatcode.
#51 HEUNAN PLAYED A GOOD GAME AMEN
You guys need to give Newhook more love – the top line is finally looking like a top line this year (after trying Slaf, Dach, et al), and it makes the second line far more lethal as they face off against weaker opponent lines. Newhook is making Suzuki and Caufield look better…
I still believe that Dach will be a great 2nd center for the Habs. The habs should NOT trade him away…let's be patient..
Caulfield Suzuki Slavkovski
Laine Duch Demidov
Gallagher Newhook Anderson
Hold your horses: his goals always come in tight bunches, and then comes the dry periods. And, so far he and his line have had big problems with 5-5 – playing, not surprising considering the recent comeback. But he has a history of being a bad two way player,
Ivan DemiGod !
Sorry just unsubscribed can't take your amazing unbelievable thumbnails. Bye😂
Happy birthday Demigod!
yo habs digest you need to fix your audio… lower the gain, get a pop filter and some sound dampening for the room your record in. those are just the basics.. maybe research how to get the best quality sound… cause you aren't quite there yet <3
