Silovs has been a major sieve. But that first period was brutal defensively. This team has been relying on goaltending for too long. You can see how bad we are when Lank and Demko aren't back there constantly bailing them out. Soucy and Myers have been pylons all year. Myers has a 2 to 1 giveaway/takeaway ratio and somehow Soucy is worse with 7 takeaways and 27 giveaways. Hughes has a pretty bad ratio as well, but considering he holds the puck for damn near 27 minutes a night, it makes sense. And his giveaways are usually not in his own zone like Myers and Soucy.
When Kevin is in that with the Canucks have like way more confidence in themselves

Silovs is the reason we lost
Silovs wasn’t even that bad.
I mean Silovs a goalie so he's suppose to make saves, but the defensive coverage in that 1st period was just BAD. Also Desharnais is just sitting there waiting for his turn, and I'm thinking he literally can't be worse than Myers or Soucy right now. Demko is at least back soon, could be as soon as Friday too.
Silovs needs more development. Unfortunately Canucks cannot rely on him just yet. Good timing for with Demko coming back. Hopefully Demko can stay healthy, but I’m not holding my breath.

Yes Silvos didn't play well, but the coaches should look at Soucy and Myers. Their positioning is so bad. A goalie is as only as good as the players in front of him.
Slow starts and Silovs is battling
Silovs can b better but defence was horrible the goals were not much of silovs fault
If we play every period like the 3rd period every game, we would be the number 1 team in nhl and win the cup
That's as critical as I have heard of Tocchet when asked about a single player.
Remember, a few months ago, when Canucks fans were screaming to trade Demko, as She Loves was their hero?
Ive said, they should have traded Silovs after the playoffs and sell high

Nothing more irritating than reading Oilers fans say that Silvos was good in the playoffs
He had an .880 save% and was atrocious. With Demko or Lankinen in net we take that series in 6.
Which is heartbreaking when you think about it. That was our year to make a run. And we get stuck with that guy in net.
At least now everyone sees it. Hopefully he's gone soon.
Could Silovs struggles be a consequence of moving Ian Clark on to another position?

Silovs allowed, in that loss to the Pens, 4 ugly goals that I could count (the 1st and 3rd-5th ones), what's the next pairing of games on consecutive calendar days Pacific Time during the third full week of December when the Canucks hit the road to play the Utah Hockey Club and Golden Knights. Given how unplayable Silovs has become, I have to wonder if the Canucks will call up from the AHL, even sooner than mid-December, Nikita Tolopilo, Ty Young or Jiri Patera if Demko isn't ready to go.
The above said, those Canucks, over in Pittsburgh against the Pens, threw defense under the bus yet again. Allowing five goals wasn't just on Silovs after all.
for all the people saying Silvos need to pick it up. You cant pick up what he hasn’t learned. I get he’s playing like shit but hes getting reps and he’s 23. Last year he played 3 games in the regular season and had a great playoffs. BUT THAT WAS LUCK. He’s too inexperienced but he will get better with reps. I said this multiple times since his first two starts. I feel bad tho because we are a win now team but, we have to be critical of his game. Guys try not to be harsh and rash with your comments.

Silovs looked extremely lost in net. Need Demmer back and Silovs needs the Ahl to regain his confidence.
We also need a top 4 dman in the worst way. Brännstrom can move the puck pretty well, but i wouldnt say hes a defensive dynamo. We need a two way dman, who can move the puck, yet play strong defensively. This move should relieve some of the workload and pressure off Myers/Soucy.
We would've beat the Penguins with Lankinen, but we can't play him every game. Silovs is like that one co-worker at work, unreliable!
Silovs is letting rebounds pop while Lankinen grabs them. Just one thing to notice. Important when the D is sucking at protecting the net and aggressive clearing. Some seem to be a step behind constantly.
Vancouver wrecked Silovs playing him behind this crap defence.
The goal tending wasn't the issue, the Pens were faster at the start, and the calls against the Canucks were a joke, and i saw more than a few calls not called against us. The look on Garland's face after that call said it all.
Wasn’t this goalie the only thing we heard in the playoffs last year. 3rd string goalie the next best thing
Does everyone else remember all the fu(kin spastics saying sell Demko off because Silovs will carry us.

there was definitely some questionable goals but lets not act like the defence was great either.
Lankanin is #1 as far as I can see. Let Demko back him up. Then you may have the best goaltending duo in the league.
If i had ever made a comment on silovs it would be sending hom down to the AHL. Not beacaue i dont like him but he needs more ice time and confidence. I also just wonder what had happend to the 2024 playoffs silovs.
I think Silovs problem is all his playoff press last year went to his head.
He needs to remember he's not all that.
