Every game it seems like either the young guns play well and score goals, or the veterans put up some points by themselves, but they can never get both old and new era players producing at the same time. Colorado has been allowing plenty of goals against this year, they were definitely beatable and was looking forward to this one… The Rantanen one near the end of the 1st might have deflated them early as it seems a lot of the times they give up before the 3rd period starts. Agree with what you said about the last 2 outta 3 being soft, not having the energy to keep pushing all game long. Maybe giving veterans more TOI the first half and the fresh legs more TOI in the 2nd half… they gotta try something to stay consistent!
Our 4th line sucks and is so damn expensive (5-6 milkion). A line of jesse p.- gruden- ponomorov ( as an example) would bring energy, youth, and physicality and cost half of what our current 4th line costs. Total mismanagement by sully. He is so frustrating, plays veteran who are veteran enough to know not to make certain mistakes but make them daily any way. Let some of the rookies make mistakes and actually learn and contribute.
The Pens are basically hopeless now! Bad management, poor coaching decisions,overpaid players! Who knows what to expect next!!!Defeat???? I sure hope not but us fans get tired of the same old same old!!!
The PP killed us tonight…and the goalie let in some bad goals…and Sid is just non-existant right now…not sure why you would have Hayes in the line-up tonight against one of the NHL's fastest team…oh, and HCMS gets a D- for tonight
Dan forgot Sidney Crosby! Sidney Crosby only has 27 points in 30 games played. 87 isn't even averaging a point a game. Sidney Crosby needs a big game. Crosby needs a multi goal game or a hat trick. Sidney Crosby needs a 3+ assist game. Sidney Crosby needs a point streak. Crosby needs to carry the Penguins past the Habs, Sens, Flyers, and Predators and dominate the rest of the month of December. Will anybody cover Crosby's disappearing act? MacKinnon and Rantanen = stars. 87 = average.
Matt Grzelcyk has a +123 on his career. In 2022-2023 Matt Grzelcyk finished 2nd in the whole league with a +46. That's only 2 seasons ago. The real problem is a washed up Crosby who selfishly destroys our future with his pathetic IDEALS and refuses to get traded. MacKinnon = 46 points. Rantanen = 42 points. Crosby = 27 points. 87 didn't contribute again. In 2022-23 Ryan Graves finished 9th in the league with a +34. In 2019-2020 Graves led the whole league with a +40. Washed up Sidney and bad D coaching.
Karlsson could have killed the big guy when he got by Petterson. Just stood there and watched him score. As long as that example is out there do you think the other guys will take the easy way or the hard way?
Why isn't joel blomquist up here? Jarry stinks. Peterson stinks grezlck stinks acciari stinks neito stinks o'Conner stinks. Why isn't puliarvi in the lineup? Why not bring up tristan broz?
So, the bottom line…does the fault lie with the GM who chose many of these players, with the coach who has the job to develop and direct these players, or the veterans who don’t seem to be effectively leading this team?!This group is an absolute disgrace in the mold of the Pirates.

You probably already look into this but when I fly to Montreal or Ottawa I fly from Pittsburgh to Newark then to Montreal for around 400
