The Nashville Predators tied a franchise record with their eighth consecutive loss Tuesday at home against the Calgary Flames. They also had to deal with a last-minute illness that sidelined Gustav Nyquist and an injury to captain Roman Josi, who did not return to the game after the first period. There were some bright spots, however; Jonathan Marchessault notched his first multi-goal game as a member of the Predators, and Tommy Novak found the back of the net for the first time since October. This Preds’ team is so badly broken that taking into account regular-season games from October they are dead last in the Western Conference with 20 points over 29 games, one more game than a Blackhawks team with the same number of points.
