I am happy for Laine and his points. Looking at advanced stats he is still a terrible player although I am not expecting him to be Barkov defensively. He needs to play with Suzuki eg. who can carry him in 5 vs 5 play. Anyway, I need his jersey. There are no available Montreal Laine jerseys in Finland at the moment.

And that's exactly what they're doing. They are screwing him right up by putting him all over the damn place. IMHO this is the dummest thing MSL has done so far.

I want to make a meme of Adam Sandler when he says "Uh-oh, someone learned how to putt", except i want it to say "uh-oh, someone has a power-play!!!". I know it's early, but if Laine can play like this, I dont expect 3 goals every 4 games, id LOVE it, but certainly dont expect him to maintain that pace, but we do have a lot better power play, and all it took was one player. I have been saying add a goal scorer forever, now we can have Laine on one side of the net, Caufield on the other, throw Slaf in front of the goalie, and have Suzuki buzzing around, with Hutson QB'ing, that's a lot of different choices, choices that are all pretty decent! Imagine when we have Demidov next year! Plus i believe Dach is on his way out, so hopefully we get a decent player for him, hell, we might have TWO pp lines!! Imagine that??? Getting that pp going is going to make a big difference in w's and losses. I know we as Habs fans get jacked up pretty easily after a couple w's, but we are finally starting to see things come together a little, now if we could get the rest of the team to pull their weight…
I want Pez back, he HAS to be better then Dach, or at least he's DEFINITELY better then Dvorak, he could be the only one on the ice, with no goalie, and he'd still manage to fuck it up. I dont understand why they have been sitting Pez for so long, St louis dont seem to like gritty players, but a team needs those players.

The Laine effect has been incredible to watch. But our team definitely needs more breakaway practice. Don’t you think we should at least score on every third breakaway. I’d take 1 for 3…..

Very proud of the boys. December is a pretty soft for the team as far as opponents go so hopefully they can add a few Ws to the column and gain some confidence going into the new year
