  1. Anyone who imagined dumping Trouba and making Igor The $11 Million Dollar Man would fix this team got a cold water wake up last night. One guy wasn't the problem, and the best goalies in history can't win without scoring support and defense.
Last night the worst team in the league with a 5 game losing streak and a back up goalie beat the Rangers… and at this point…who couldn't embarrass this team?
We have the skill and experience – but the other teams want to win, play 60 minutes of hockey.

  2. Were gonna be sellers at deadline instead of buyers , it honestly doesn't matter what player we might get every player is checked out . Literally anyone on this team can go from Panarin to Igor i have no attachment to this squad.

  3. There is a major disconnect in the Rangers room for whatever reason. Was it the Trouba drama? Or is there a disconnect between the players or the players and coach. I'll admit I'm nor really a fan of Laviolette & when a team with loads of talent plays like stiffs, it's time to fire the coach. Actually I'd fire the GM & coach & bring in Mark Messier(if he's willing) to be GM & go from there. Leadership starts at the top & the Rangers need somebody with fire behind the bench. Tkachuk would be a great grab, although he's not available apparently. I'd offer up Chytil(love him), Kakko & Miller & see where it goes from there. I don't believe he wants to stay in Ottawa forever.

  4. In 1977 the late great John McKay (the first coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) was asked this question by a reporter ā€œJohn, What do you think of your team’s executionā€? John’s response ā€œI’m all for itā€.

  5. Im dumping anyone over 30 and bringing in some young hungry guys. I dont care if we win right away.

  6. Oh yeah, time to slam to panic button. Once again, the Rangers couldn't do anything in 5v5 hockey and that was against the Blackhawks, one of the worst in the league. This pathetic effort against a team that gives up over 3 goals a game and one of two teams still with a single digit win total this season. Most of the coaching staff and Drury need to go Asap. The coaches just can't get this team to play hard for them and it's getting old, really fast.

  7. Kitchen sink for Brady K. He'll force the trade himself.
Coaching staff needs to go as well as GM.
2 players that played with more heart than anyone the past 3 years are cut off at the knees. What does Drury expect will happen to the rest of the squad?

  8. The team that is currently constructed will NOT make the playoffs . Losing against Chicago cemented this teams plight ! Steps to be taken before the trade deadline …. 1) Try to stabilize their defense pairings and system
Determine whether Housely , who has lost the lock room , can regain it ? If so move on from Trouba , Miller and Lindgren with players like Guestufsson, Provorov and Gavrikov … and hope that the change of scenery helps !
    2) Determine whether Zibanejad has physical, psychological or emotional issues that can be remediated . Bring in a center like Minnesotas , Marco Rossi , that has something to prove hoping to reignite Zibanejads passion and capabilities , if not send him home to Re evaluate his desire to play next season . 3) Consider bringing in a defensive forward, like Yanni Gourde , who can exhibit leadership experience & passion to win .
    4) If the the above fails … you move into a full rebuild next offseason , determine whether your current GM and Head Coach execute the plan , this is still a team primarily constructed by Jeff Gorton ! … the only player who is untouchable is Shesterkin …. Priority should be to keep as much of your young core as possible including Schneider , LaFreniere , Cuylle , Chytil and Kakko . Determine which prosoects are part of the future like Perrault , Othmann , Sykora , Emery Laba Chmelar,FortescueGarand McConnell Barker and current nhl prospects Berard Mancini , Edstrom , Rempe Jones
Would love to keep top line veteran leadership Trocheck and Panarin if they choose to perform after the trade deadline .
Would love to keep Zibanejad and Kreider if the Rossi like experiment works , otherwise they should consider their future in a Rangers Jersey , jeopardy
Would love to keep Fox , if changing of the Left defensemen, defensive style and possibly coach works and he chooses to play like one of the best defensemen in hockey . But his lack of leadership and soft play is making it look like cementing his NMC next season would be a hugh financial mistake and that he may need or want a change of venue as well ?
So much for making the team younger there is a plan for veteran leadership & aging contracts everyone( with the exception of Quick , Vesey and Carrick … , if this season does not turn around !

Not pretty …. But you can’t let the inmates run the asylum ! This is what happens !!

  9. The Rangers made a mistake when they signed Chris Drury as a free agent and ended up buying him out. They made another when they hired him as GM to replace Jeff Gorton. In a very short time Drury has taken a Cup contender to a directionless group. An example of his GM skills: in 2022 he traded a fringe player with two 2nd round picks for Ty Emberson who played one season in Hartford, before being released on waivers. 2 second rounders for a player who never appeared in a single game. He has given away 4 of the Rangers 7 picks next year and three more (so far) the following year. Now Drury seems focussed on destroying team morale and chemistry now expecting loyalty in return for destroying the team.

  10. Drury did nothing off season to bolster/remedy well known weaknesses.Laviolette is working with a core of players who are older and still not doing what is required to win games i.e score and defend.Younger players are not getting deserved ice time as Laviolette gives ice time more in hope to players patently not producing anything of note
The team is lacking any confidence as a group and is unable to put a coherent plan together to right this sinking ship.
The people involved in the NYR are all experienced in the game. Why then do they seem so clueless as to how to sort it out?
They're all paid handsomely, is it unreasonable to suggest as a fan that they start earning it?

  11. The veteran core as kinda uncoachable. How do you keep making the same mistakes for last 3 yrs?

  12. we got value for trouba because he was awesome before laviolette asked him to play his ballerina "dont hit me or fight" style. laviolette/drury are the problem. how many times can laviolette get fired after2/4 years and still get more chances? he always loses his teams, and tried blaming truoba to deflect, which pissed him off, so he checked out…bring in a new coach! give messier his shot if nobody better is available

  13. Igor didn't earn that contract in my opinion. It was out of desperation. Plenty of goaltenders put up similar numbers. Sure, he may be better, and sure, maybe it's the defense to blame but you could've invested that SAME money to rebuild D and got a great outcome

  14. All the players hear is ā€˜trade, trade, trade’. Sure they should own up to their contract but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve lost all hope assuming they’ll be gone anyway

Drury just needs to make the moves. The guys have checked out. If you can build around Igor, Alexi, Cuyle and the kids on D the turn around won’t take that long.

You need a proven winner in the dressing room. Right now we’re leaderless. We have no grit, no punch, no heart

    Let’s Go Rangers!
