Brandon Montour: Former Florida Panthers Defenseman Gets Stanley Cup Ring Before Facing Panthers



Seattle Kraken defenseman Brandon Montour got his 2024 Stanley Cup championship ring before playing the Florida Panthers on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024.

Montour and Josh Mahura got their rings at dinner with their former Florida teammates on Monday night in Seattle.

Florida comes into tonight’s game with a six-game (5-0-1) point streak.

Saturday against San Jose, Matthew Tkachuk made it 1-0 just 23 seconds into the game.

Florida did not make it 2-0 until midway through the second on Tkachuk’s second of the game.

Sasha Barkov scored on a power-play to make it 3-1 — a score thar would stick until San Jose scored on a 6-on-4 power-play late in the third.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 28 saves.

Florida kicks off a five-game road trip Tuesday against Brandon Montour and the Seattle Kraken.
