You can be certain that as soon as his value goes up, he will leave for a sunny U.S. city. Actually Laine is the worst thing that could happen to the Habs rebuild. He will keep the Habs out of the draft top picks and then leave. Really bad

georgiev move was anticipated but annunen trade was a mistake in my opinion. Prospect which was developed with time and when he was ready for 20 starts and you give him 10 when team defence was its worse and give up…… Just dont get it.

He's got a great shot and he's able to find where he has to be for 5 on 4. When his conditioning improves, he'll be able to do better 5 on 5 and that's when he'll really rock.

Laine have had Star status through all of he’s career. Great trade for the Habs but also have to remember that CBJ had no advantage in those negotiation’s because all teams did know Laine want’s out. Even had 10 team No trade clause. Still it was highway robbery by MTL. Laine is perfect fit for MTL. Patty needs a city that loves hockey and fans that will love him and support him, he will give 10x that back to those fans. Just wait and see. Next year Laine will be 100 points 50goals season in.
