Sidney Crosby only has 27 points in 29 games played. 87 isn't averaging a point a game. Sidney Crosby needs a big game. Crosby needs a multi goal game or a hat trick. Sidney Crosby needs a 3+ assist game. Sidney Crosby needs a point streak. Crosby needs to carry the Penguins past the Habs, Sens, Flyers, and Predators and dominate the rest of the month of December.
Trade Rutger McGroarty and Marcus Pettersson to Anaheim for injured Trevor Zegras. Trade Marcus Pettersson to the Canucks for Nils Hoglander. Dump Rickard Rakell for something if someone wants his 3 year and this season contract at $5AAV. Rakell has decent value if he continues to score goals. 8-3-2 with Lizotte in the lineup. Blake Lizotte is easily Dubas' best signing. Lizotte: 13GP/6G/3A/9Pts. Lizotte leads the Pens with a +5. Pickering is 2nd at +2. Pickering is Pettersson's replacement.
Does anyone think that ned's strong words have anything to do with the wins lately
Always a fun listen Dan. Thanks as always.
You’ll forget ALLLL about Petey when that 2nd rounder in 2032 rolls around…..🙄
I agree with you on the goaltending about people saying how the goalies didn’t play a great game cause there stats are not good. Jarry and Ned didn’t have a great start to the season and their save percentages were awful. When you have a few really bad games it is really hard to get your save percentage back to above .900 level. Put Hellebuyck or any other top goalie in the league in this teams crease and I wanna see how much their save percentages drop
If they could work something out to get hoglander id love that, 2nd line of hoglander-malkin-tomasino
Good stuff, I’m feeling better about this team…well, ask me again on Saturday…
I fell in love with the e game of hockey back when I was 5-6!yeats old. Back in the mid 1980s. The pens have been my team since the very beginning. My first memories that I can actually say I are solid core memories begin around 91-92, the first two cup years. The height of my consistent attendance at games began in my mid-late teens, the beginning of the student rush program that was very loosely enforced. You could be like 12 with a collage I'd your cousin gave you of his Asian friend and you could have zero resemblance to a person of Asian ethnicity. You were allowed two tickets per identification card, however you asked for 7 tickets and got them all at the discount price. The closest thing we had to a Star player was Alexsey Morozov and wins were not on the list of normal things about the team. There was something totally different about those times though. No matter the score, the outcome, or how terrible the team played….. The fans crested for the team and you never would hear the home crowd boo their home team. The people of this city were proud to be pens fans. win or lose. They stood behind their city and their team. I can't recall exactly when I heard the first boo from the home crowd that was directed at the home team, but I remember the nauseating feeling it put in my stomach. It was on that day that something that set us apart from the low life clowns that resided in the moronic cesspools of cities such as Philly and New York, where the hometown pride, self respect and dignity did not exist, could not be understood by the creatures that attended the games resembled human beings a lot less than they did mindless empty shells of a lower level of intellect and smelled much like farm animals. The first time, the first imposter of a pens fan opened their jaw and rumbled the very first boo from their vocal chords…. They set our city back thousands of years of evolution and reduced all of our progress and dedicated hard work to place us on the same level as fans that represent everything we despised. Now these imposter fans and their unrelenting negativity have reproduced like cock roaches and suck the joy and very essence of hockey spirit from our once great city. But the flame of that spirit will never be completely extinguished, for it lives on through those who remember the times before the hockey equivalent of "A Karen" and those emotional vampires that say ridiculous things like "fighting is barbaric and has no place in our game" boo the team they could construct, manage, coach, and play for all at the same time as failing to even be able to tie their skates and not being able to get their lips tight enough to stop their negative opinions from drooling down their chims like the kid who ate crayons in my daughter preschool. Lord Stanley please forgive these creatures for they lack the ability to comprehend that the things that have a place in our game will never be changed no matter how much they cry and whine and boo and pout about it. For the game is ours and will never be theirs and they are everything that does not belong
