Until the Canucks figure out to compete early in the game and stop getting horribly outplayed and outshot in the first 2 periods adding new players I don’t believe will help.
I believe the Canucks are contenders but it is hard to judge. We have not had the complete team yet. We have had multiple key injuries at any given time. We were already light at right side d going in. With Hronek injured and Desjardins being a flop so far that isnt good. This is a team built around having ballanced scoring with a 1a and 1b top lines and one of the best 3rd lines. With Miller out and Joshua not finding his stride we are going to have problems. We need a good rightside D and maybe a center to get past the 2nd round.
Next year will be better, lekkerimäki, Willander and D Pettey will all be ready to make the jump. Lekkerimäki is certainly finding his stride.
