Shit runs downhill. The rot of the Sabres begins and ends with the Pegulas. Even before Pat LaFontaine abruptly left the stench of the Pegulas micromanaging and meddling where well known throughout the league. I've heard stories of how Kim Pegula screamed at her "underlings" for not being perfect. It's the way Terry/Kim have done things. They think they know everything and because they hold the wallet they can do whatever they want. Personally I think it's no coincidence that the Pegulas gave oodles to the Trump campaign it says a lot of how they think. That anyone who disagrees is disloyal to the crown. I've been a Sabres fan since the inception. The Knox brothers were malleable in putting people in positions and then relying on their expertise. And if they hadn't run out of money their leadership could have continued. But I've had it. I really believe Terry should sell the team. Now that might mean they move the team out of Buffalo but you know what I'm sick of being the laughing stock of the league. By the way not to get to political but the Sabres are a microcosm of what Trump will bring to the US.
Adams should have never been hired, it was clear by the trade deadline of his 3rd season that he's not just a bum but a bad bum of a GM. He may be from around these parts, he may have his name on the Cup, but hiring him as GM was a stupid move
Honestly, after the game against Colorado I felt absolutely deflated but after this media conference I am starting to feel more dejected from this organization then ever.
Adams in the end just proven once again and definitely that he is just a middle man – a grocery stick that mostly follows the instructions from Terry and until this dynamics changes this team is going nowhere.
Kings fan but i also follow Sabres for decades now. There was a moment after Gretzky left LA where things were hopeless for two good decades. In 2012 and 2014 they finally won the holy grail. There is hope, have faith.
37:40 im sorry JP, but you're way off on this take. Thompson is not a #1 C on most teams, UPL is not a #1 G on most teams and Dahlin is BARELY a #1 D on most teams. 👍👍
Adam’s attitude at the press conference this week was atrocious. AND he had nothing new to say – no new trades or plan of action. Now another horrendous game today (Utah). Trade Quinn, Cozens, even Peterka and or Power (another give away by Power tonight that ended up a goal against). Let’s get another forward and defenseman. Time to stop messing about.
The problem is that the GM is the primary face of selling the team to players. He should only, and for always, be talking about what makes Buffalo great. Why does he live here in retirement? Why did he come back here after his playing career? Why do so many players stay here?
No reason for the NHL to step in. The team is not financial in trouble and is at the middle of the table. What exactly would be the grounds? The NHL cannot stand in on non-competitive grounds.
Why do you say money is the issue? This owner gave Eichel 80 million, Skinner 72 million, Dahlin 88 million…money is no issue, the issue is the players are not good….Skinner is washed up.
