I don't wanna be Mr. Positivity but…the year we went to the Cup…at one point, in December, we were 17-18-1.
I never liked the Green choice I don’t think he’s any good.
So With parekh getting the call for camp (worthy for sure), Canada brass are saying Yak is not a top 11 defencemen in the country at U-20. In my opinion it cant be based on ability (his stats the past 2 seasons prove this), but either it's a personality issue or he has been deemed not a good fit? Either way, a little worrisome, no?
I agree Ross, how many times are the Sens going to lose these "9 out of 10" games? I love Forsy but it's time to move on. Soogard isn't the answer this season or next season. I'm not convinced he's an NHL goalie at all. The Sens need huge towering defensive defensemen. Funny how Tokarski is in the NHL after the Sens let him go. I'm not saying he's an answer but the Sens have no depth at goalie. Ullmark for the next 10 starts. I don't care about Forsy's confidence right now. The Sens need Wins and that's it.

I wouldn't mind the 9/10 comments if they had a 9-1-0 record in that type of game, instead these boys are 1-3-1 in games they 'dominated'. 7 years into this rebuild it's hard to care about the manner in which they lose when the end result is still losing.
When you look at the highlight video for the Palmieri goal. They are so tightly boxed in to the center of the ice in front of Forsberg that gives the Isles so much space to skate and move the puck around. Also Jensen is guilty of that one cause he turns into center ice and leaves a lane for Palmieri to skate right in and get the goal. Forsy also should of saved that one. But for sure the PK and goaltending cost us this game and I am hoping their PK improves for next game and get Ullmark in net cause hes been playing great as of late. GSG!
Wouldn’t make a big deal about it… Green I’m sure was just talking about that one game… probably didn’t want to single out how bad the goalie was…I also think Merilinen is the better prospect… I’d send Forsey down and put Subban in there in the meantime when Sogard comes back!
Forsberg has to go sadly. You cant be this inconsistent as an NHL goalie. 9 of 12 is unacceptable

Type of games you CANNOT lose!!! plain and simple: bad PK, bad D structure (some lazy plays!), bad goals on Fosberg…Islanders are trash but they win!!!

Come on, guys!! You could talk about the PK for the rest of the week, but you have to realize that we only allowed 12 shots on our goalie. What do you want?? 0 shots??
Some of these comments is like Ullmark has been consistently good all year. He cost us a few games, sure he has been better last few games but that’s it. You pay a goalie 5mil to be good from game 1, not near the half way mark of the season. Will

If this is the Ross we would see on the Podcast regularly then I would stop watching. Difference between venting and being pissy and I think this is the later big time. No shit Forsberg is going to have a bad save % when the Sens only allow high danger chances and <15 shots. His play overall has been a lot better than last year (where he was genuinely terrible). If you look at save % Ullmark right now is ranked 27th for goalies with more than 10 games played.
lol. Ross, you took the comment from last night’s post cast to heart. I know you weren’t there. Somebody said you guys should be more frustrated and you’re channeling that now with the Travis Green segment.
I don’t hate the 9 times out of 10. There have been a few problems: slow starts, momentum goals, bad PK and goaltending. Ullmark was a problem and now he’s playing better. Forsy won’t get many starts. Ullmark should be better. Better goaltending means fewer “momentum goals”. (Don’t let in the first one and you don’t need to worry about the second one). Better goaltending means better PK. I’ve seen fewer slow starts lately. Just remember how terrible they were last year. We are outplaying teams most nights…this is a good thing.
Honestly, with Ullmark playing better, I think we should win that game 9 out of 10 times. But they’d better start that 9 out of 10 run now.
I'm with Pillzy. Yea hindsight makes last night's call to play Forsberg look awful, but you just cannot ride Ullmark all year. At this point I would rather roll the dice with Leevi, Soggy or even Subban over Forsy. Just as backups for a few weeks
