@Vancouver Canucks

This has become absolutely UNACCEPTABLE…

The Vancouver Canucks lose to the Tampa Bay Lightning in a frustrating one. Quinn Hughes had a goal, and got a fish-bowl after a highstick. Kiefer Sherwood and Kevin Lankinen played well but the Tampa stars like Point, Kucherov and Guentzel powered through to beat the Canucks who took a late too many men penalty.

  1. Bad time for Canucks to get a 4 min. Power play it’s in the first period and we all know they don’t start playing till the second period.

  2. Maple Leafs of the west. Complete and total fucking frauds that never play well at home. I almost don’t even want this team to make the playoffs.

  3. The Canucks are extremely weak on the east to west passes, the vast majority of goals against Lankinen is from unmarked backdoor players both in the PK and even 5on5 they need to address this and adjust imo.

    Also agree with the reliance on Hughes, the others get good chances but never seem to get the results always a "the other goalie played well", could be because the mentality is Hughes is the super star so they aren't hungry enough? they definitely have very low shots on net every game.

    Hopefully the Canucks can evolve to the next level again cuz we have the talent and the work ethic on this team.

  4. Relying on defense for offense is the way they are coached, tocchet sucks as a coach, forcheck get the puck to the point no cycle play just forcheck, you're asking tiny players like hog suter garland pettersson to forecheck hilarious

  5. You're right. No Hughes left us toothless on that power play.

    We really struggle with early starts and haven't been the best at home. You could have looked at the schedule and just counted this one as a loss.

    Onward and hopefully upward.

  6. Canucks just play like a different team at home and it doesn’t make any sense. They play like they’re stuck in cement for majority of the game. Lost to a flukey goal anyways, but that too many men call was unacceptable and cost us at least a point. Hopefully Miller is back next game, and I also hope Allvin is searching for a defensemen.

  7. That 4 minutes defined the game. I knew then we will not win today. Our top guys like Pete and Brock sucked. Joshua has no goals, almost no shots from blue line except Hughes. What happened to the skill of Pete, he is just like anyone else. We suck at the moment

  8. "The Tampa Bay Lightning might be bigger powerplay merchants than the Oilers", they are currently 2nd in the league in 5v5 goals per 60.

  9. Do you think hughes has a case for hart trophy since the award is supposed to be awarded to the most valuable player and id argue no one is more important to there team than hughes besides mcdavid. Hughes offensive ability plus puck possesion and defensive ability may arguably make him more valuable than mcdavid (not saying hes better than mcdavid)

  10. Yeah that pp was anemic without Hughes and mid even with him. That stat talent shouldn’t ever fail to succeed on a pp.

  11. I def agree with the "Tampas PP won them the game" perspective, however I agree more with the "their top guys won them the game". Meanwhile, our top guys were nowhere to be found. Brock and Joshua have been abysmal since their returns, Petey had a quiet game. Hughes is our only "top guy" that shows up day in and day out, but we cant rely on a dman to provide all of our offence.

  12. I get what you mean that this game was won by special teams. But Tampa's 5 on 5 this year is top 5. Calling the power play merchants is misleading and just flat out wront.
