Hey Dave and Drew. Sorry I missed the show. Crazy weekend here.
I do have a thought relating to how we've been losing those 3rd periods in several games. Coaches could focus on putting our strongest D players out there for that period to maintain the tie and take it to OT. Guys who aren't playing defensively sit for that period or get reduced ice time. Evason has the Columbus players playing a strong defensive game and this needs to be taken into consideration every time we go up against a strong D team. Maybe it's more complicated than that but seems to me that the coaches could do certain deployments when it gets close to 60 mins at a tie with a good goalie across the ice.
