I’m so sick and tired of the whole “we only lost by a point” argument. It’s retarded as fuck and needs to not be allowed to cope for how horrible lalonde is and the rest of the coaching staff.
Have to start work early tomorrow morning, cannot stay up late, so I would like to post this comment ahead of time.
If I were to have the same work attitude as this team, taking off from giving my best for whole stretches of the day, like they did for the first 15 minutes of the third period last night, I would have been fired a long time ago. This team is not motivated to play a complete game. Almost never has that happened since Lalonde. Hire someone who will earn the respect of the players needed to give it their all, do it soon, and maybe, just maybe, there will be enough time left in the season to put out this dumpster fire.

I was in the process of programming my recording schedule for the Wings' games, when i realize i was acting like a crack addict, loading my stem for another toke. Watching a team lose religiously, knowing that they're going to lose more than half the games they play this season, is not a healthy pursuit. I watch to feel the vigorous excitement of a win, even a close game, of course there will be losses, but… Watching another loss knowing we're gonna lose is unhealthy. Its almost as if i want them to lose, every game, so Lalonde will get the boot. Which is sad and unhealthy also. I used to "quick tune" to other games during breaks in Wing action, now its the other way around.
Get rid of Lalonde now, might break into a playoff game or four. Keep Lalonde and we get another repeat of last year, next season Lalonde is gone for sure, his contract expired, but do something now. I've already told my family no Redwings merchandise this year, no tickets to games. I'll watch the Lions. At least they have confidence and good coaching that knows how to win, not a coach who lets the players run the show.
It’s honestly getting bad when you have this much firepower and can only manage a goal or two a game. Maybe I’m a bit of a homer but they have proven at times they can score multiple goals. Just absolutely frustrating.
