St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong released a statement early on Sunday that the Blues have relieved Drew Bannister of his coaching duties and hired former Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery.

Montgomery was a scapegoat. Sweeney and Neely are two HUGE reasons why the Bruins are slowly becoming a doormat. They have done very little to improve the team. They should’ve gone after Guentzel last year. Opponents shut down Pastrnak, and they negate about 60-70% of the B’s offensive threat. And so far this year, many teams have figured that out.

Although I agree with Jim's firing by the Bruins, I am glad he found a job right away. Wouldn't it be funny if the Bruins hired Drew Bannister.
Monty is a good man and good luck with the Blues. But I did think that he changed the Bruins lines too often. So these guys had no chemistry and lost games. He even did this during the playoffs. And of course the philosophy of dumping the puck and then chase. Never wins a Stanley Cup.
As a life long Bruins fan I can tell you with certainty it ain't the coaching. We have a huge problem and it starts in the head office. Old school thinking. No speed. We are SLOW SLOW SLOW. Firing coach of the year twice in the last 6 years lol. Ok. We can't get out of our own way. Marchand has had both hips replaced and he is the fastest skater on the team. How? How in the hell is that possible. SMH. Go B's.
