Despite chances for both sides, the game remained tied through regulation and overtime. In the shootout, Nikita Nesterenko and Nathan Gaucher scored for San Diego, with Gaucher’s goal proving the game-winner. Calle Clang’s stellar performance in net sealed the hard-fought victory, as the Gulls outshot the Barracuda 36-32.
