  1. Apparently Trouba and his wife had talked about Anaheim being one of the places they were intetested in, so he accepted the trade.

    Lucky ducks!

  2. Should Igor fall off in his mid 30s, I wonder if we're going to see a THG video sometime around 2031 on why the Rangers are desperate to move a big contract to clear cap space just to immediately spend it all

  3. The only way this trade makes sense is that Anaheim can trade him somewhere else for 50% off and get some picks in return. NYI ?

  4. Seems like the Rangers did well. They finally managed to unload Trouba‘s contract, and didn’t have to retain any salary. That freed them up to sign Shesterkin to that monster deal. That effectively uses up the space that Trouba’s departing contract opened up, but they have their goalie locked up for the future now, so they seem to have accomplished their goal.

I have no use for Trouba because he’s a dirty player, but I guess Anaheim must be hoping that his veteran presence and tenure as captain in New York will provide some help with growth and mentoring for the younger players.

  5. For whatever reason his play had declined. The Rangers are absolutely a proud organization. They wouldn't air dirty laundry like this publicly. Maybe they were hoping his play would improve so they were giving him time to fix it himself. The captain needs to be a captain. The captain leads the charge. The captain sets the tone. At this moment and for at least the last 10 games the tone has been this underperforming overpaid bum had been on the first line when he would barely qualify for the fourth so the locker room and morale had been in shambles. We totally saw different team on the ice tonight but the Penguins weren't much of a challenge either, looking forward to the Rangers play improving and better competition. LGD!

  6. What a fleece. But Anaheim has more than enough cap space, so they're not really losing too much here long term.

  7. The Ducks got absolutely burned. Trouba is a #5 d-man and is worth about 1/3 of his contract, and they got a lottery ticket in return. Should have been at least 1, of not 2 first round picks to take on an overpaid Trouba who can hit, play terrible defense, provide no offense, and take dumb-a** penalties

  8. I think this was a win for the Rangers and for Trouba, not sure why Anaheim gave us a pick but we'll take it. Trouba is a nice guy and beloved in the locker. But he just looked old and slow. Hopefully, the change of scenery will rejuvenate him a bit. And for us, we don't retain any salary, get a younger defenseman who could still have some upside and a pick. I don't know how Drury pulled this off. Is Kreider next? Kakko? Mika? Shesty, Bread, Fox, Laf, Schneider, and probably Miller are the only ones who are not in danger of being traded.

  9. This is how the Rangers treat their captain? Disgusting! Now loyalty or respect at all. The C really doesn't mean anything in New York!! 😡

  10. I thought for SURE it would cost a significant asset to dump Trouba’s contract. Like…a 1st.

Man I’m glad Columbus dodged that, but it’s actually frustrating that New York has gotten away with dumping cap in just about the s***tiest way possible twice in one season and hasn’t even had to pay market value for a cap dump, or faced any repercussions.

New York is the new Vegas in terms of treating players like s***, except Vegas didn’t actually strong arm anyone out the door. What a joke.

  11. If the playoffs started today the rangers would be the 8 seed facing the 1 seed Capitals in the first round.
Which would introduce the ultimate "shoe's on the other foot payback" matchup.

  12. The fact that it came down to – move or else – for Trouba, cast's light on the ridiculous N.T/N.M. clauses the owners signed off on. Not only does it muck up the system, but it also breeds these entitled, baggage laden divas who want it all. Maybe, a better solution for owners, is to offer incentives to players, to hold off on a wife and kids while under contract…

  13. Why would you take on Trouba without a single sweetener? I get that his contract is expiring after next season but that's still 1.5 years of Trouba (who isn't a good player anymore).
Doing the Rangers a huge favor and get nothing in return.

  14. I’ve been traveling… could somebody fill me in why he was traded? I thought he was a solid defender just had a high cap hit. Was there something going on between him and the organization?

  15. Great content, as always! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
