  1. I guess we were watching two different O’Gara’s when he was up in the NHL this year. He looked like shit; out of position and looked lost. Doesn’t help that he was a 5 in 8 games (an example of when +/ means something)

  2. Holden spent a few years in Colorado. According to Patrick Roy, Holden was "one of his best defenseman" at the time of the trade. Try not to laugh to hard.

Holden is an okay 6/7. If he plays much more than that, he can get exposed badly

  3. Holden was a liability on his own end and didn’t produce offensively this season he didn’t need to stay as a upcoming UFA very good trade for Rangers

  4. The biggest thing imo for the rangers is that now some younger guys such as pionk, graves, berezgalov, Sean day even can get looks at an NHL level

  5. I'd like if you added you're opinion on who "won" the trade or if you were a fan of either team, how you would feel about it.

  6. I think it would be best to have these small trades for the next few days and save the big ones for Deadline Day…. I watch the coverage every year, and dont like it when major deals are done before that. It would actually promote the NHL even more in the States if they saved the big trades until the 26th, if Seattle gets a team =awesome, and having Americans watch deadline day coverage would create more fans IMO *

  7. Oh yeah and if the Rangers got a 3rd for Holden it will be very interesting what they would get for McD

  8. Many people are trashing the bruins for this trade and I don’t really know why. Last season, 4 roster defenseman got hurt in the playoffs and the Bruins had NO depth. Who knows what could happen this season?
Second, the bruins gave a third because it is trade deadline season and playoff teams wanting depth will cost them a little. Prices are higher.
Third, people are acting like Holden will be in our top 4. He is going to have to compete to be in the top 6 maybe even top 7! But if someone gets hurt, I won’t have to worry too much because he can just join in on the lineup.

Good trade for both teams because one team is looking to get younger, the other is looking to make a run for the cup. What’s so bad about that?
