I would consider any two points against NYR/TOR this weekend a win. OT Losses, a win and loss. Whatever it takes to get two points.
While you're right that the Penguins have typically been built as a top-heavy team, I'd argue that their cup wins were more of a team effort rather than top players playing well. It was because their depth guys scored clutch goals. HBK line, Cullen, Fehr, Scott Wilson, Kuhnackl, and the 08 third line of Jordan Staal, Kennedy, and Fedotenko/Talbot and whoever else. While Crosby and Co. obviously played very well, I think the real winning only happens when they get contributions from up and down the lineup. When you need a spark though, I agree, it has to start with the big guns and the big names.
They need not to think about the streak. They need to continue doing what they’re doing and not focus on anything but just winning the game.

Ever since the Tomasino trade everyones been playing the role they should. It's almost like when work hires a new guy and everyone gets on their toes and actually start pulling their weight cause you can't let the new guy show you up. I kinda like it you could tell everyone was a bit too comfortable leading up to that. After this stretch of hockey I want the pens comfortable with being uncomfortable if it means we get the absolute best out of everyone

I don't know, but maybe it's time to stop talking about how bad the Pens played when they beat the Panthers the other night.
Reminder: Max Talbot scored the game winner in 2009 to win the cup. Nick Bonino scored some massive OT goals in 2016. Hagelin and Cullen were important pieces to those rosters. The supporting cast has always been very good whenever they have had success. Without it, this team goes nowhere
