  1. Preds need to do a rebuild. What they took on was dumb. Old guys pass their prime. Dump the guys retain the salary and start from scratch.

  2. They have some issues, but they are definitely a lot better than what people have seen. Working out some kinks, and smoothing out the system with the new players. They may just heat up later in the season.

  3. Leafs should trade Tavares for Pettersson. Canucks will get a consistent player that can contribute, and Leafs could spark Pettersson's game with all the talent we have

  4. IMO, No. They are a slightly less talented team from last year given the players that they lost, and should finish the season slightly lower than they did last season. Despite some Pleasant Surprises in their lower ranks, and Quinn taking another step forward, the players who are carrying the load are the ones that are expected to. The Exception being Pettersson. I have really liked the way Petey has been, backchecking, making plays on the break, and in front of the net for many of their goals, Contributing, …BUT, this just shows that the coach isn't using him properly. He's a sniper, not J.T. Miller. For the number of shots he has, he should have more points, but as long as he's contributing, getting chances, and not being a liability, the coach is probably going to keep playing him in this hole.
Getting Demko back would be nice, but seriously, how much better than Lankinen 'Could' he be playing right now. Thatcher doesn't need to rush back, so long as Kevin isn't costing us goals and games.

  5. They can’t really exist on the cup contention radar without another puck moving dman and EP40 shooting minimal pucks

  6. I will say, we've had a pretty cushy start to the season. Not as many games and some pretty poop opponents, November looks chill as well. But the team has been doing well given Petey's offence is almost non existent and Demko has been out. That's not to mention missing Joshua who was such a major middle 6 player for us with his energy and physicality. If Petey can get it going and we get Demko at 80% of his powers I think the Canucks can do some real damage.

  7. Nashville is one of those teams that plays like shit one season, finds chemistry and go on a heater the next

  8. People don't even realize the Canucks are projected to have $8.75M cap space at the trade deadline.

  9. Canucks lost by one goal in game 7 to the team that lost by one goal in game 7 for the cup. So basically, Canucks are 3 goals away from a championship.

  10. F no their not flying under the radar, a—hole , Canucks rung a bell and they need to answer, when people say “Nucks are good” they really mean that fan base is a whole bunch of a—holes challenging the entire nhl

  11. To high expectations for canucks..tone it down save yourself the disappointment. 1 good year means nothing in the records books.

  12. Pretty sad if stolarz is your best player. Looks good on the maple laughs! 😂😂😂

  13. How is that guy saying Pettersson hasn't been doing anything an expert? He's shut down the other teams' best players every night.

  14. If petey able to find his game they should go far and dakota coming back, Demko hard to say how he will perform

  15. Canucks also havent had Dakota Joshua all season so far, and he is a player that is wildly underestimated. He seems to be incredibly important to the team. Last year when he was out, the Canucks fell apart without him, and when he returned, things came together again. He's a big body that has great hands and just seems to know where everyone is on the ice, and he's a morale guy, wildly beloved by the team.
With Lankinen playing the way he his, I'm actually more excited to see Joshua come back than Demko. Let Demko heal up as long as Lankinen is playing like a Vezina caliber goalie.

Of course, I want to see Pettersson start playing like a star again. His no trade clause doesnt kick in until next season, and I'd rather have Petey playing at 60% of his potential on our team, than see him traded to another team. But if he's only playing at 20% like he is right now, I can't see him surviving past the deadline, if a cap-floor team is willing to take him. We need to see offensive improvement. He's been really great defensively. But so have 5 other guys, whose points totals add up to ~6x his, and thier combined cap hit is ~$3.5m less. OEL is already disrupting the Canucks' cap, we can't have an even bigger problem like this.

  16. Canucks will easily win the cup if everyone on the team plays like the way they’re being paid

  17. They have been tricky! Hint to late 80's sing song hop.
    Now?
    Are the Nucks clicking?
    Like, do I like my
    noggen clicked on?
    I love Nuckies!
But no. It needs to be smooth and friendly. Fook yeah! We can and can't come back across ourselves.
    Do I want divots? No.
Who is being tricky? It is in, in some old school language, but lets get on with some multi-player goal scoring and about their own beef train.
