Sidney Crosby to the Toronto Maple Leafs? | OverDrive Hour 1 | 11/25/24

Bryan Hayes, Jeff O’Neill and Jamie McLennan talk about brothers Alex and William Nylander uniting in a big win for the Maple Leafs on Sunday as Toronto improves to 7-1 this season without Auston Matthews. They boys also talk hypothetical trade packages for Sidney Crosby and what it would take to bring him to Toronto before breaking down the Senators’ struggles to begin the year in Ottawa.

  1. people vastlyyyyyyy overrating 38 year old crosby jezuz. signing old guys for futures put toronto in the ground for a decade, no cups.

  2. Crosby + conditional 3rd 50% retained -> leafs 1st +woll + Robertson + cowan + conditional 2nd … condition if leafs ake it to finals pens five up third and leafs upgrade 2nd to a first.

  3. I think Sid waves to come play in the biggest market in the universe … but It would be expensive … especially if Dubas has to eat money …

  4. Crosby will determine whether or not he wants to play somewhere else! And I am sure he wants to play with a solid Stanley Cup contending team? The Leafs are not a Stanley Cup contending team yet!

  5. Here's why the Leafs will advance a few rounds this year. In years' past, they were in a search for d-men or goaltending primarily at the trade deadline, but hard to find without paying a huge price. Now their gaps to fill are upgrades in a couple of forward spots, much easier to achieve.

  6. Crosby to Toronto does make the most sense. Crosby isn't chasing any individual records like Ovechkin, sure playing with MacKinnon winning a another cup in Colorado is nice but there's not as much meaning as it would be winning one in Toronto. There's just a bigger legacy opportunity in Toronto for Crosby. Granted Crosby's legacy is second to one, but winning a cup on Toronto is really the only thing that adds to it in my opinion

  7. crosby dropped the gloves 2 games ago. Sidney C makes sense. I would go for him over Brock 100% And it looks like it would be for the same money or less

  8. Its not worth breaking up the team chemistry to get Crosby.
Definitely not worth giving up a goalie.
If we could get him for some draft picks and some non-mainline players then yes it would be worth talking about.
But really it is too expensive to get Crosby, we dont really need him …unless we can get him for draft picks.
Id rather have Woll-Stolarz stay together instead of trading one for Crosby.
Toronto has always lacked goalies for playoffs and now they have the #1 Goalie duo (tandem) in the entire NHL and they have good defense and they have good playmakers and good scorers.
Things are good the way they are.
Yes we could use another good center, but need to be very careful what we trade for one.
Cannot repeat past mistakes and ruin the team chemistry.
