THE NY METS SIGN PITCHER FRANKIE MONTAS; A QUESTIONANLE SIGNING TO SAY THE LEAST BUT DOES THIS MEAN THAT JUAN SOTO MUST BE NEXT. FRANKIE MONTAS MAY BE THE NEW SEAN MANEA, BUT DAVID STEARNS MAY HAVE UNDERTAKEN HIS BIGGEST CHALLENGE WITH FRANKIE MONTAS. FRANKIE MONTAS HAS BEEN EXTREMELY INCONSISTAT, INJURED, AND NOT PRODUCTIVE. WHAT DOES NY METS PRESIDENT DAVID STEARNS SEE IN FRANKIE MONTAS THAT PUSHED IN TO POTENTIALLY GIVE MONTAS 34 MILLION. ESPICIALLY WHEN GUYS LIKE SEAN MANEA AND WALKER BEUHLER ARE AVAILALE AND CLEARLY HAVE A HIGHER CEILING. IF THE GOAL IS TO WIN A WORLD SERIES AND COMPETE WITH THE DODGERS, HOW EFFECTIVE WILL THE FRANKUIE MONTAS SIGNING BE FOR THE 2025 NY METS. DOES THIS ODD SIGNING SIGNAL THAT A SIGNING LIKE JUAN SOTO MAY BE ON THE WAY? PLEASE LIKE AND SUBSRIBE FOR THE LATEST MLB AND METS NEWS AND RUMORS. FOLLOW ON X @dominantmetsnation8156

Whats up DMN, im beginning to think Soto will not end up a Met. This whole thing is shady. Just my gut feeling.
Nobody big wants to come to the Mets. Looks like plan B is in effect. If they let Alonso walk and don't get Soto, or a legit starter their cooked.
his 27% K rate in the second half was 8th in the NL. Stearns sees something you all don't!
Freid Buehler burnes manaea Roki are the only p I was interested in outside of trade
Teoscar Alonso walker Soto or trade on the offense
The Mets need burnes and another good sp at least
Here comes another a**** I don't know nothing about baseball the guy is a husband that they signed why don't you wake up and smell the coffee
Yeah I choose one point higher than a goldfish
Is Peterson going to be involved in any mets trade
Hello my friend and fellow Mets family. Hope all is well with everyone and boy, this is a very underwhelming signing. My first initial thought was the yuck emoji. Now we can speculate as some folks are saying maybe this helps us land Soto. I don't know, I'm very uneasy with this acquisition. I want to give Stearns the benefit of the doubt, but are we going to be the Cohen Mets or I hate to say it, back to a frugal Mets organization. If 2025 is the year to strike, we better come out with a minimum of at least 1 Ace pitcher and a number 2 type pitcher.
We will definitely not be on par with the Dodgers next year and I'm sure other teams will improve greatly in the National league. If Stearns has the dough, lets freakin act like we are going to kick some ass next year.
My only hope is maybe signing Montas helps Stearns make a trade for a better starting pitcher from another team. For example, trading some position players and maybe a pitcher like McGill, Butto or others at that level to help us acquire a number 2 pitcher. In my opinion, Montas is a more expensive McGill.
Smh man but lets see.

I'm hoping that Stearns is already chasing top Free Agents outside of Soto – and not hinging their signing on his contract. Losing out on Alonso, Burnes, Sean, and other FAs could come back to haunt us; especially if he doesn't land Juan. With Cohen's money it's better to build that foundation, then call yourself lucky if you have to overspend on the unicorn.
I agree with you. The Mets better keep manaea and severing and get Burnes or fried. They also must keep Pete and get Soto. If this all doesn’t happen, then we have a repeat in 2025 against the dodgers, if we even make it that far again.
Now we're talking, Montas let's go for Burns and make a fear less rotation so can Soto be excited to sign with the Mets and form a solid contender ! 💪 Go freaking Mets 😁
Easy bubby. No way he is above 5th or 6th starter. And he'll be better than 85 percent of 5th of 6th starters. Can't judge Stearns until February.
How did we feel about the Severino and Manea deals last year? Honestly how did we like it? Severino was our 3 and Montas will be 5 or 6.
Stearn is making us feel nervous because he got the biggest money pocket in the league and looking forward to fighting against the Dodgers, my fear is the is gonna make an Ok team , not great or well prepared for going all the way to the world series. He's cheap and want to make small spending, Soto will be the only huge spend.
Montas is a decent 4 or 5 spot. Rolling the dice like this has worked for us last year, but won’t work every time. Let’s hope this works again.
Thank you for keeping it real. This is pathetic. If this is how our off season is gonna go we are done
This signing is comparable to the Manaea/Severino signings of last year. My concern is whether hes able to control the strikezone and not walk the park. Mets pitchers were not efficient with pitches until the end of the year. If this is the type of signings the Mets are going to do, then they will again be #2 behind the Dodgers. Our offense right now is behind what we had this past season. So much more needs to be done. Soto alone wont do it.
