   He still has a great shot. Im a Habs fan, but I say keep the expectations reasonable. Dach is coming off a very bad injury, Slaf is still finding his grove and Laine is just back. If the team keeps playing poorly defensively the record will improve little even if the production improves.

   It was the happiest the fans have been all season. He looked great and he called Hutson "Laner" in his post game interview. 😀

   Let's wish for Laine to keep improving his self-confidence. Over these last 12 months, he had serious problems to face. His injured knee is not yet 100% but almost. I really hope he will keep feeling good as possible in Montréal and that he will fully exert his fantastic potential. Canadiens' fans are already in love with Laine.

    Lane needs to get his game shape and that can take a few months ?? at 26 Laine still has many good seasons.

    The issue with Laine isn't that he isn't super talented – he could probably be a top 10 scorer in the NHL – but he can't stay on the ice long enough for it to matter. I have had him in fantasy hockey for the last three years and it is an absolute roller-coaster.

    Injury free Laine for the rest of the season he could score around 30 – 35 goals easily.

    Lets not get way ahead of things here. He had 1 goal on the PP. Lets wait till he gets 20 games in ad has 4 points total which is quite possible. He could also have 14 or 15 points but that is highly unlikely.

    None of these guys know what it is to go running to the general manager's office and DEMAND a salary increase like Guy Lafleur did back in the day. And you talk about Laine like he's some kind of God. Get back down on earth kiddo. You don't know what has been giving to you until it's been taken away.

    Got a soft spot for Laine. He's been through a lot a young man should have to deal with. He's human in the end so I'm just happy he's back. Hopefully there will be less drama from now on so he can focus on playing hockey. Not a huge habs fan really but I can't deny they're a part of the beating heart of hockey and hopefully that passion rubs off on Laine going forward.

    If someone has the potential to have a 70+ goal season it's him. His shot is the best in the league when healthy.

    Hope Laine scores a goal every game but we lose by 1 most games get another sniper ! Welcome Demidov 🙏 and sky is the limit when we sign Laine 6 yr contract and buy in 7 mill a season like the boys

    Losing father and two teammates, Kivlenieks and Gaudreau alone would break many tough men in strange enviroment around strangers basically. Really hope he finds forever home in montreal.

    Im in awe how hockey fans jump to conclusions after ONE GAME. Jeeeesus. Give it some time. He may be very sharp but not necessarily. It was 1 game, with 1 goal and good play. Thats it.
