Why do the special teams coaches still have jobs?
I wish they didnt have those loser points. We are one of the worst teams in the league everyone needs to admit this. We have no business even being close to a playoff spot. I would rather not have any of those loser points and be the front runner for Hagens because at this point, its not just a trend or a slump. This is our team. We need to bite the bullet, sell off at the deadline, gain some capital and pray to god we can get a really high draft pick and retool over the summer. This team is going nowhere this year. Nowhere.

Horvat looks like he doesn't want to be here anymore. Loser points are a false sense of security. I don't know why I even care anymore either!
I'm no Lou apologist, but you are missing a key factor in :Lou's decision making process. He is the GM of the Islanders, a team that cannot attract top free agents and can only sign mid=level free agents and that's only if they overpay. In the case of Anders Lee, the only player the Islanders could have signed that had 30 goal potential when his contract was up was Anders Lee and they needed to overpay. Most of the other overpayments: same sort of story.

No excuses with this one. This was a must win in my eyes. It's not consistant enough. Roy can not get these guys to play consistant hockey. Bowie Horvats disappearance is concerning. The longer he goes without a goal.
They need to play to win in regulation.

Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? Another loser point, as a result, they're in a 3-way tie for 8th place in the Metro Division. The athletic ranked them dead last when it came to the Cap Space. Last 🌙 they made Montreal's goalie look like Patrick Roy during his hey day in Montreal. I hope Barzy and the Duke are getting better. Maxim Tsyplakov shouldn't take some penalties that aren't good. They also need to give Ilya Sorokin more support before, and as I said for the third time, he goes, Billy Smith, on the opposition, especially when it comes to his spot. Hero, Ilya Sorokin for his solid play, and Anders Lee for scoring the pnly goal.🐐, the PK. Back to the Cap Space, I'm glad it's the Hurricanes are #1 and not the dreaded Rangers. The higher-ups should give Lou Lamoriello a nice severance package after nearly 25 years.
They need some youth, speed and physical players. The Bridgeport team is just as bad as the parent club. Gm Gil. The team is where it belongs even if that last place is 2 victories out of 4th. Did you believe they were going to win last night? I did not. I am expecting a change at the top. Lou and/or Roy are not going to have jobs at the end of the season as this team fails to make the playoffs by a considerably amount. Roy will likely get his chance to coach a much better roster in Boston or Edmonton if he is let go. The Isles are at least 5 years from being competitive AFTER the tear down and rebuild is undertaken by Lou's successor.

Hi Gil! I must admit, I went to bed seething. You know I’ve wanted Laine for so long. Nah, we don’t need that laser shot he showed last night—of course not! He’s on our team—-Power play is fixed and we win most of the Ot games we’ve lost. What’s done is done but frankly I’m sick to my stomach with wasting $$$ on crap contracts and average players. Man this guy can shove his TDL moves and ignorant free agency thoughts. I’m gonna say it nice and LOUD! Our owners are jackasses for modernizing everything but our Gm position. What a moron GM we have—-ya give Engval 7 years, ya give Mayfield 7 years, ya gave Lee 7 years, Casey 6 years, jG and palms 5 years!!
