The trade rumors leaking out and the team not responding by going out there and imposing their will in games making a statement saying "you're not gonna trade us!!!!" is proof right there that NO BLAME GOES ON DRURY or LAVY. This is a player problem. To quote Larry Brooks "the rangers are too sensitive, too soft"…..They responded like a bunch of babies and softies (which they are. its why they got manhandled by FLA) and are putting no effort in, bascially tanking. That tells me players need to go. Too much puss on this team and not enough Dog!!!! This is New York, we need hard nosed men on this team, not boys like we got too much of.
I'm one of those whom I do NOT blame Peter Laviolette for this downward spiral of what is quickly becoming a dumpster fire of a team. The blame is squarely on the players, especially the core group. Especially Jacob Trouba, Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, Adam Fox and can also blame K'Andre Miller as well for their piss poor play. Chris Drury deserves to be fired if he cannot stop the bleeding and even more so if the Rangers miss the playoffs. He already has done damage to this team for the lack of roster changes to improve on last season. Sadly we cannot get rid of James Dolan.
If the Rangers lose their next 3 games to Pittsburgh, Seattle and Chicago… look out. This is going to get much uglier than it already has.

With the contracts the players were signed to and teams /players willing to trade Drury probably doesn’t have many options ..not like a bunch of great players are available ..making a bad trade for the sake of doing something may not be the best option…scratch miller or trouba or lindgren and zibanejad ..play Mancini & rempe

I don't understand how the team could be upset with Drury over the Trouba situation over the summer. Yes, he's a leader and he's the captain. But his play down the stretch and throughout the playoffs wasn't just substandard – it was fatal to their Cup chances. He was atrocious. Did the guys in that locker room think Drury was not going to make an effort to move him?

Miller is soft, hasn’t played well since spitting in Drew Doughty’s face. Kreider is a 2 trick pony. Mika looks like he’s about to cry on the ice. Fox always looks frustrated. Igor looks angry: Trouba throws a hit once per week. Lindgren is washed. I just do t see how this gets fixed without tearing it down and rebuilding or retooling.
Lardy doesn’t have a defensive system in their own end . And his assistants are invisible. DD drury is not a good leader by sending out a memo as a motivational message.
